Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Well all, after being an AFC for so long I want to move into the rank of the RAFC and take control of my own life for a change. I have downloaded a copy of the DJBC manual and I am going to put myself through Boot Camp and see where it takes me. I will post my findings after each week here.

I can tell you right now that this scares the crap out of me. I have always been a bit frightened of women and rejection, both of which I am sure I will get intimately acquainted with during my time.

A bit about me-

I am 36 years old. I have been in several committed relationships. Obviously they were not satisifying enough to lead to marriage... at least I am smart enough to not get married if I feel I am settling for someone I am not completely happy with. I need to "update my wardrobe" I have too many t-shirts and jeans. My level of attractiveness is not "adonis-like" I feel that my looks are average. I am fit, able to run 3-6 miles without stopping. I still feel I could lose a little weight, maybe 10 pounds to boost my confidence. I am alright at conversation with someone I feel confortable with. I have a problem maintaining eye contact, I just freak out and look away.

I make good money as the head of my company's IT department. I work in Santa Monica, CA. Anyone that has ever been to Santa Monica, you know how many hot girls are around this area.

I guess what I want is to stop floating around, taking whatever random girl shows enough interest to make me feel comfortable. I want to find a girl that *I* want for once.

Any advice out there from the DJ's? Any supportive comments would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

SafariDave

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

My No.1 piece of advice would be, just go for it.

You feel nervous,
You feel like shes too good for you,
You feel she's gonna reject you etc, etc.....regardless of this, just approach, its really hard at first, but the quicker you can get over approach anxiety, the quicker you will start getting laid.

Other than that, go to the gym if you don't already, look your best, and read Juggler method...its so much better than all the scripted BS that ppl bang on about. If you can't find Juggler method online I'll send it to ya! Good luck man!! :)
