What do u guys think usually is the reason for break up in an AFC relationship? (The guy is an AFC but still got the girl because she was desperate) Does the guy get fed up and leave or the girl find a better and leave? IF there are no better guys coming around, will the relationship last for long? How long on average does a relationship like that last?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

The girl will usually leave and cheat. The guy will be heart broken cause he didn't know wtf was going on. If it does last it won't be a good relationship.

There you have it. It's a natural reaction to cling to someone who is leaving. It's the death of a relationship, but if you can muster up enough self-respect and dignity to do the opposite, she will more than likely come back.
its not even the fact of her coming back, its the fact that you maintain the power... in the past i've been AFC, when ur in "love" its easy to get blinded by the positives while closing your eyes completely to the negatives... its about lifting the veil and realizing the facts of the situation early enough...Mavrick said:There you have it. If both parties are severely insecure AFC's who don't believe they'll ever get anyone else they may stay together for quite a long time forming a mutual co-dependency on eachother. Such types sometimes get married and mistakenly believe what they have is true love when rather in reality all they have is neediness and fear. The poster Fela Kuti and his girlfriend are perfect examples of this type of mutual AFC partnership.
In most cases however if the girl is even moderately attractive she'll be hit on by all types of guys and if one is more exciting than the AFC she is with (eventually such a man comes along as its not very hard being more exciting than an AFC) she will branch swing over to Mr. Excitement and this type of AFC relationship's end is the most common type as its most easily the case the chick ends the relationship by cheating or leaving since in general they have an easier time of going out there and getting someone new or rather having tons of offers and just selecting one of them like a kid in a candy store.

The reason's I've observed most often (in no particular order) are:
1) Unrealistic expectations. They think its 'true love', like nothings ever going to make them happier than this person. Then the honeymon period's over and the 'kitchen sink' stage starts. They see the person was never who they thought they were and keep chasing the dream with someone else
2) Boredom. Kind of an extension of the above, but at 25 they're sat in watching soaps every night like 50 year olds then wondering why they're not happy
3) The grass is always greener
4) Logistics. He/she gets a great job miles away and the travelling does them in etc
5) The general change and impermanence of life
