I don't know what he was trying to accomplish, if he felt like doing that in public would somehow make it even worse for her, he was dead wrong. It just made him look stupid, and a lot of the crowd was obviously on her side - despite the fact that, from the info that was given, she cheated on him and basically is responsible for this situation. Plus he tells her he fvcked her roommate, so he is just as bad as she is.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
