AFC friends meeting your girl - drunken idiots embarressing you.

A problem that I have and have had for a while now is AFC idiot friends that never go near girls and like to go out and act like drunken idiots. Now, I like to go out and have drinks, but these guys are embarrassing.

The purpose of this thread is to warn people - in the early stages of a relationship don't let your girl meet any embarrassing friends.

My problem is that I went off to uni, expanded my mind, came back and am now stuck with idiots that havn't grown up.

I try to keep my girlfriend and these guys separate but they have met a few times. The first time she met them one of them called her a 'cvnt' and a '*****' and generally acted really badly, giving her a hard time etc. (im almost certain he is a 23 yr old virgin)

Another time, I couldnt get out of them meeting cos i was going out for a drink with them and she insisted on comming along. On this occasion the two guys i was with got more drunk than usual, they danced wit her and basically treated her like a male wrestler, (not decent at all) walked around the club with their fingers up shouting and swearing, telling rascist jokes, swearing, and on the bus back people were looking over and it was clear that they were 'the idiots' on the bus.

Now she has met these guys she wonders about me, she thinks im an idiot too. I mean, perhaps I used to be, but im not anymore, I have moved on, I just havn't dropped these guys, I havn't fully sorted my life out yet.

Thing is, my social circle at home is very limited, my real friends I met at university and now I am very frustrated that these are my only friends here.

I told one of them just now how they acted and they were apologetic, but then said that everyone gets drunk and acts like a **** head, problem with these guys is that when they do it they show themselves up to have real social problems.

Do you guys think I should drop them?

You gotta keep your crazy friends and the ladies seperate OR make it obvious that you are awre that your friends are tools but... hey, what can you do?

The worst example I have is one day I had opened these three stunning blondes (no **** they were all 9s and 10s) outside this club. Things were going really well.

I had delivered the best neg I've ever said in my life- it was basically a "bogan" (trailer trash would be the US equivalent I guess) joke on where these girls were from (unless you are from Sydney you wouldn't get it) that had all three of them reeling! It was both ****ing funny but a HUGE NEG!

So my friend comes out of the club, he's speeding off his head, drunk and smelling disgusting. He runs up shouting "hey biyatches!" and slaps me across the head.

Anyway the girls leave soon after that.

And I ***** slapped that muther****er real good!

Now when I hang with him I go out in the headspace that I will not be meeting girls.

The thing is when it comes to girls he's a **** friend. But as mate, he's ****ing staunch. He's got my back against any one and I know I can trust him with anything.

If your friends are good ones keep em. Just don't mix em with your babes.

See I have the exact opposite problem... all of my friends are brilliant guys who are quiet and usually in committed relationships. I can't go picking up with them at all because of that. But I'd love for a girlfriend to meet and hang out with them and me.

My new crop of friends while I'm away at school (keep in mind... I'm in computer animation and not exactly meeting the most alpha type characters) are usually somewhat introverted and shy... or just downright dimwitted and annoying. Plus we're all huge workaholics, no one really volunteers to ever take a night off.

I'd love to go to the school's pub nights every week, but I have no one to go with. It's lame as hell. I'm in the best physical shape of my life (and I used to be a competitive gymnast), I have my own place and a new car... yet my situation prevents me from getting laid every week even though I know I could easily be hooking that up.

It's a damn shame, but it taught me a lot which I'll put into play when I move out of town for my job: find the best guys to be friends with and gun for them IMMEDIATELY. If you start getting sidetracked with people that don't let you lead the lifestyle you really are looking for, it's very hard to shake them off.
