When any new member first comes to the forums, they are addicted to being an AFC. Their lives have become unmanageable due to how they have been living. Their whole life has become revolved around women, they have low self esteem, can't make sense of simple situations, become obsessive, become very sensitive... the list goes on. The first step to living a better life comes when an AFC comes to this forum, and undergoes the journey of becoming a Don Juan, however, what a lot of AFC's miss when they first come to the forum is that when they come here they must accept that.
THEY ARE AN AFC, THERE LIVES ARE UNMANAGEABLE DUE TO BEING AN AFC AND THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR WAY OF LIVING.
To me, if you can grasp the concept and completely accept that you are an AFC and need to change, it makes becoming a Don Juan a hell of a lot easier. Once you have accepted being an AFC, it makes it a lot easier to grow and improve your mindset.
There are no short cuts to becoming a Don Juan, unfortunately, a lot of new members believe there is a magic pill, one which will make all there dreams come true and have women swarming round them like David Beckham.... This is not the case, the way to become a Don Juan, be the best you can be, and more importantly be happy and confident with yourself, is to put in hard work and dedication to changing your mindset. I've been there myself, I've read an article at night and thought YEYUUUHHH, i'm gonna have women swarming over me tomorrow, i'm better than all the other chumps out there and I am gods gift to women, then when i've crashed and burned, felt like sh1t and reverted back to my AFC ways.
THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS TO BECOMING A DON JUAN, HARD WORK AND DEDICATION ARE KEY, TRY TO FIND AN OVER NIGHT FORMULA.. IT WON'T MAKE YOU HAPPY THOUGH.
I'm a big fan of people being themselves completely, being true to them selves and doing what ever it is that they enjoy doing... However there are very generic rules when it comes appearance and the world of ladies that should go without saying...
Make sure you are clean and smell fresh.
Make sure you have fresh breath.
Don't wear dirty/worn out clothes.
Clean finger nails are a must.
Make sure Nose/Ear hair is trimmed.
Just in general make sure you are clean and not looking scruffy or dirty is the message i'm trying to put across here. To me, it doesn't matter what you wear, as long as your being true to yourself and comfortable in what you are wearing.
Women are just one part of a balanced, good life, you should have aims and goals out side of bedding that lush 8 by the bar, or getting in a LTR, yeah it's great to have an aim with women, what i'm saying is..
PLACING TO MUCH FOCUS ON ANY ONE PART OF YOUR LIFE CAN MAKE IT UNHEALTHY.
Do not mistake this for me saying that you shouldn't strive for things and have determination to get somewhere. If you become so engrossed in something that you cannot simply walk away and it takes over your life, i'm saying that's unhealthy and should be avoided.
For me, when I first came to the forum, it was hard for me to put down the idiot i'd been making of myself with some girls, I couldn't get past the feeling of humiliation and wanted retribution, deep down I wanted them to feel the same humiliation and was angry about the way things had turned out.
THE PAST IS THE PAST, DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND AND GET ON WITH IT
A key to truly grasping the Don Juan mindset is to cut your losses from being an AFC and move on with your life. Find who you want to be, whilst you are still dipping your feet in the pond where you were an AFC, it makes it tough to make that clean break and live a better way of life.
I constantly think of where I came from, the rejections, the taunting, the low self esteem, low confidence and the gut wrenching nervousness when a girl talked to me...
TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY STATE OF MIND, IT'S ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE AT YOUR LOWEST POINT
Now i've got time and distance away from being an AFC, I can look back and remember what it was like, remember how I felt and it stops me from reverting back in to old patterns, it lets me reflect and more importantly see where I am now and where I can go moving forward.
Now onto the fun bit... how to become a Don Juan, a DJ, is not just how you are with women, it is how you are in life, it is a way of living, a mindset, to me it is simple, there are a lot of posts which provide you with a template to practice over and over until it becomes natural to be a Don Juan, the mistake a lot of people make is...
A DON JUAN IS NOT JUST WORDS, IT IS NOT A MACHINE, IT IS HOW YOU THINK
Generally in practicing my Don Juan way of life I stick to the following basic principles..
1. Confidence is key, confidence is gained through pushing your boundaries.
2. Women are just people too, not to be put on a pedestal.
3. There's billions of women out there, there's no need to be desperate for one.
4. In anything in life, be willing to walk away.
5. I am not above or below anyone, I listen to what people have to say.
6. I will always stand up for what I believe in.
7. I am not fixated on being an alpha, I know there are situations where other people are best placed to take the lead, so I let them.
8. I am not afraid to be a man, this becomes easier the more confidence you have.
9. I am congruent in my words and actions. However, my views can be changed and will always listen to differing points of view.
10. I am not caught up on image or appearing 'loaded'.
11. I appreciate everything in life.
12. I take one day at a time.
13. I can always improve.
14. I do what I want to do.
15. I try my utmost to be happy every day.
16. I talk to women with ease.
17. I am not scared of rejection, I am immune to it, as it is not the end of the world.
18. I work hard at everything I do.
19. I take constructive criticism gratefully.
20. MOST IMPORTANTLY... I LOVE LIFE!
You will notice I haven't really talked about women, how to get women, or how they think in this post, the reason being, I am about self improvement, once your mindset is right and you've accepted where you've been and where you want to go, you can take the steps to improve every aspect of your life.. Not just with women.
This is the first episode of 10 that I will post about the Don Juan mindset, and how to achieve the Don Juan mindset.
The next episode I post will be about Confidence and how to achieve it in all aspects of your life.....
Until next time...
Adios!
