"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hey guys whatsup.

I've been on this site for a while reading posts but only recently registered. Anyway, here's my situation.

(I'll keep this as brief as possible in order to not bore you)

Right. I went out with some ppl from work 2 nights ago.. got chatting to a few ppl and blah blah blah.

I noticed one of my colleagues (not an AFC, but certainly not a DJ either) talking to this attractive young lady who also happened to work for the same company as us (albeit at a different office).

He was talking to her about mundane crap and clearly wasn't going to get anywhere sexually with her. So I hung back a while, waited for my turn to introduce myself, and using my skills gained from this website - BAM! got her number after a few minutes.

:D

I think we hit it off quite well, she proceeded to tell me that her and a few colleagues were going to get '****-faced' on Thursday (today) and I should come along. And pretty much all of them are women. :D

(OK I know what ur thinking now. 'So whats the damn problem, a$$hole?!?') Let me explain.

Basically there was this girl who used to work at my office who I had a big crush on (and she USED to kinda like me). However this was a while ago and I was still sadly a full-blown chump, so I basically blew my chances with her by acting like an AFC.

Problem is... she now works at this other office. Its been a while since we last spoke but I know she remembers me as the uber-chump from before. Trouble is, I really want to make a good impression with these new ladies.. and she's gonna be there.

And you know how women talk amongst themselves. If they had a view of me as a super-suave DJ (which I could probably pull off if I do things right) then things would be sweet and there could potentially be a whole office full of young girls wanting to suck my balls.

However, if (and this is what worries me) the girl who remembers me gives them the idea that I am a chump... things would be very different. I would be an object of laughter and ridicule - and would probably have to leave my job ASAP out of sheer embarrasment.

So my question is - how can I play this so her new girl friends have a high opinion of me? I've never really met any of them so its gonna be difficult - but I really just want to make a good impression (and I've also got to somehow convince the other girl that I am no longer an AFC and am now a DJ). Any advice on what to do in this situation would be appreciated.

Thanks guys, and I'll keep you posted (if anyone really cares).

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Here is what i would do :

i would turn up. i would become the life of the party. i would hook up with the chick who invited you to the party INFRONT of the chick that thinks you are a chump. i would have all the women laughing and all over me.

this would create a GOOD IMPRESSION. the chick who thinks you are a chump doesn't have time to spread her lies. she will be too busy sitting there watching in shock or trying to hook up with you herself.

if however she hates on you she will have to try and convince 10+ women who saw with their own eyes YOU ARE A COOL DUDE that you are not. she will be fighting an uphill battle. the other women will think she is jealous. if you hook up with your HB who invited you they might even turn against her.

YOU WIN :)

Jeez that was quick man! Thanks.

OK well what your are saying makes perfect sense, its just a case of pulling it off well I guess. I mean my game has come on leaps and bounds since I found this site so I'll give it my best shot.

I don't think she'll hate on me but I'm worried she might tell them stuff about me at the office afterwards or something. So like you say what I gotta do is be on top form, make a GREAT impression and then she won't be able to convince them otherwise.

It won't be easy, but I'll certainly give it a shot. Plus of course I will be trying to hook up with the girl who invited me, partly because she's hot, and partly to show the other girl what she has now missed out on!

Thanks for the advice.

You are hanging out with a group of women? Hmmm, bad idea - you should have told her that you prefer her alone!

You had the perferct opportunity - you want her and not to impress a group of girls! (you deserve 2 rolleyes for this blunder)

You may just become "one of the girls" (a 3rd rolleyes)

Yeah well thanks for your 'advice' PRL  (a 4th rolleyes) really helpful.

Well anyway nothing exactly went as planned anyways (this is women we're dealing with here).. I called her up and she was basically going in town with a few friends who were mostly guys, not the girls from her office as I had thought. After not being in the bar she said she was gonna be in, I saw her in a club and she basically didn't acknowledge me.

Happily though I had already bumped into an old female friend who was able to make me look good by giving me loads of hugs deliberately in the hope that it increased my perceived 'attractiveness' in this other girls eyes.

But anyways, who gives a $£"&! I don't like, want or need flaky chicks!! NEXT!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

PIECE OF ADVICE FOR YA KID:

You decide who you are, what you are, and where you are going.

You cannot however, change what you were, who you were, and what you did in the past.

People from the past will always try to KEEP you in the past. People in today will always try to KEEP you in today.

But you my friend must make a decision, to be WHO you what to be, regardless of what others SEEN you being yesterday.

They can always say what you were, but the only thing that matters now, is what you become.
