"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hi,

I've been a chump for many, many years. Reflecting back on such memories brings back unbearable pain but I'll do it one time to offer come advice.

Here How I kinda did it:

Me and a friend of mine run an non profit organization for youths in our community. Basically, as the CEO, I make many many phone calls a day. And most of the call involve me (to put it quite bluntly without all the sugar coating) pleading someone (media organizations, donors etc) to do something they almost certainly wouldn't do.

I've done that job for a long time. No doubt,I hear "no" an awful lot (no pun intended). Yet i never took it personally (well to be honest i did in the beginning but overcame that). I never feared getting rejected by newspapers or donors.

Yet I was afraid of getting rejected by girls.

Why? To be honest, now I have no darn clue why b/c I got rejected so many times I didn't even realize it; newspapers rejected me all the time. I wasn't afraid of that, so why be afraid of girl rejections. Sure at least 5 newspapers rejected me, but eventually one said yes and I landed an interview ;).
See, persistence pays.

Moral: There is nothing scary about rejection from girls. It only gets scary when you think about it. We get reject everyday, we just dont consciously realize it.

How to overcome rejection: just think about all the times that you got rejected for other things. Why were you not afraid of rejections there?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
