"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

seriously only post advice if you know what you're talking about

I recently broke up (for good) with my girlfriend of 7 months because she lied to me and I told her that I wouldn't stay with her if I caught her in a lie again.

Like about 2 weeks ago I broke up with her right before I went on vacation and she got scared thinking she was going to lose me so she started im'ing her ex saying **** like 'goodnight pumpkin' and 'i wanna kiss that cute face of yours' and I just found this out yesterday.. Anyways after I came back from vacation I spent another week with her at cape cod and we had a really good time. However, i felt like something was up so i was like asking her if there was anything she was hiding from me. She told me no. And then when I came back home I found out about all this. And her ex visited her for like 5 mins and she never told me about that either.

I dont think i can be with her anymore knowing that she said **** like "thanks for visitng me, i wanna see you again" to her ex, even though we broke up still that's pretty ****ed up and it was pretty ****ed up for her not to tell me when we got back together.

when i confronted her about it she started crying, saying it was a mistake and that she just felt lonely cuz i was in nantucket hanging out with girls and she had no one to talk to and give her attention (Typical teen)

I want to move on with my life but I feel really bad about this. i thought it would be easy to let her go but its proving to be one of the hardest things to do. mushy talk aside, she was pretty much the first girl i ever loved, but i dont know if i can even trust her again or know for sure that she loves me 100%, despite her repeated claims that she does

what should i do??

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Question:

You broke up with her, went on vacation where you hung out with other chicks, and you're mad that she talked to someone else during all of your crap?

Someone should tell her to NEXT you.

i didn't "hang out" with said chicks, there were simply around in the house where i was at...i didn't do anything shady because i consider myself to be an honest person...she even came on the last day of my vacation and met them, there just roomies

and i told her about the girls being there because i'm the kind of person who, if i'm in a relationship, i like+require us to share everything with each other

The way it sounds is you 2 broke up.. And you are upset she saw someone else who she also broke up with.. SO basically you and her ex have the same level of involvement with this girl, and you have no right to be angry at her considering that you are at the same status of an ex to her.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
