"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

It's a little naive to believe all that sh!t, that all you have to do is graduate as a frat guy, and then your life will be made from there. Every frat talks a lot of sh!t about their grand connections, but it's usually all bs.

Even making the grand assumption that you will get some great job just by being a frat grad, which is a giant and dangerous assumption, the average frat guy party animal has about a 2.2 gpa. That means that you will never in your life have more than a 4-year degree: no mba, no law school, no med school, no Master's of any kind. Over your lifetime, this will seriously limit your earning potential. The trade-off is four years (maybe five, lol) of beer-drinking in exchange for a lifetime of mediocre wages.

I would hate to be in your shoes, too, man. Those bigger fish are the ones with the graduate degrees that you'll never have.

Whether or not being in a Frat helps or not if you have your shiit together you can make it work out for you. It's the weak minded people who go to a frat and end up leaving with a shiity gpa because the don't know how to balance. I do plan to join a Frat and based on who I am I have no doubt that I will have a good time and will be one of the frat boys who have the best parties on college and bang the hottest chicks.

Is that to say that I’m going to lose all focus of my future and graduate with a shiity gpa. NO! it doesn't Only the fools who get to caught up in the moment are the fools who forget about their future. My social life and my academic life will both excel while I’m in college. Just for the fact that I sold my self short in high school, but I was a foolish kid back then. I'm determined to prove to myself that I will be the Best Leader I can while in college and also maintaining my grades. It's really not hard if you have the right mindset and balance.

However that may be too deep for some of the people here.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

There are grad schools that accept people with low GPAs on a probationary status. Having a mediocre/poor GPA as an undergrad does not 100% guarantee you'll never have a grad degree. I'd be looking into it more if I had a clue as to what I'd actually want to go to school for.

Oh and I just remembered, I have a friend whose boyfriend graduated with around a 2.5gpa, and he got accepted into a couple fairly good law schools (he's actually a really smart guy, just slacked off a lot in college). So, yeah. Enough with the "if you graduate with a sub-3.0 gpa you can kiss your future goodbye!" spiel.

What law school did your friend get into with a 2.5? Whatever schools let him in are a joke, like Cooley or John Marshall, and he undoubtedly did very well on the lsat to even get into a crappy law school.

The grad schools that accept crappy GPAs are crappy grad schools that charge $20K+/yr for degree that will hardly get you a job. And you can only get into these crappy schools having a crappy gpa if you ace the admissions test, which is rare.

I can't believe that you are so naive to think that grades don't matter. But enjoy your delusion. The world needs overworked, underpaid, dead-end-job middle managers, too. Start shopping for your short-sleeve dress shirts now.

I will enjoy my delusion. While you're 31 and think you know all there is to know.

As I pass my four years of college with drinking and hooking up with more women than you can imagine. Then get hried into a very prestigious law firm headed by an alumni of my Fraternity that pays for me to go to Grad, Law school, because I am a people person that is good with other people.

Then when i'm 31, i'll be living a life you only dream of living, and not be a cynic poster on a self improvement website.

Hahaha, keep thinking that buddy. You have no IDEA what life after college is like. It's real easy to talk **** like that when you don't know what you're talking about.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Oh but I do know, especially when my graduation is around the corner, and I already have a job and am filling out my applications for Grad school as I type this, fully funded by my future/current employer.

It's hilarious that you are lecturing me about how to get into law school, when I just graduated from law school two months ago. It looks like I am the one living the life that you are dreaming of, friend.

BTW congrats Bible Belt.

I know that law school admissions have a lot to do with your LSAT score. My buddy had a kick ass GPA, but didn't sport the best LSAT so now he can only get into tier three schools.

I don't sport the best GPA (my school hasn't combined my CC GPA which kicked ass), but my goal is next year (my senior year) to buckle down a lot more and concentrate on my studies and then attempt some LSAT prep courses next summer, finish up my BA then apply next year.

Joining a frat got me carried away with partying this last year and yes, my gpa suffered. However I learned from that situation and I know what I have to do to carry on to a post graduate degree...which is work my ass off, like i did to transfer to the university where I am at now.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

1. Isn't being dependent on a few frat friends to give you the connection required to get through law school a little... well... tenuous? I mean c'mon, it doesn't always mean he will be always following your best interest.

2. People come to university and pay that boatload (or with financial aid and scholarships) of tuition and boarding to get the education needed to get ahead in the fields they wanted (also for many, like me, follow some liberal arts to be well-rounded in all fields) and having a good time is certainly hoped for too. Friends and connections are an essential component to building the foundation to getting ahead in life, but so is having the knowledge, skills, and expertise (usually grades reflect on that) too.

Everyone

3. A sub-3.0 gpa is not the end of the world, actually few failures are ever final. Though you have to agree, a sub-3.0 gpa is hardly an ideal position. Isn't it better to put some effort in studying to have a good gpa while still going out and having fun? Also what's wrong with learning for the sake of learning?

You'd probably give your left nut to be in my shoes. If i were you, I'd make sure and find out exactly who you're talking too before you go boasting.

If you think you´re so much better than everyone on here then why are YOU the one arguing and desperately trying to convince everyone that you are successful in life?

I need to know some good advice on transistioning from High School to Colllege. Anything that is definetly different from either? Should somethings be done differently in college than in high school? How is the experinece with women in the college life different from the high school life?
Its not different. Make friends on the first day. Most people met their core groups, long term relationships, etc. first week, first year.

Lol buddy, and you are some one that comes to this site and talks sh!t sayin how he's better than everyone else. Your frat may be good which I doubt, so why not just keep it to yourself. Lol you think that you are so much better than all of these nerds at so suave but why not try to help them out with advice. No point to say how cool you are, you are not impressing anybody. Take this from a fellow male that also has testosterone running through his veins unlike many posters here (unfortunately) but thats a different topic.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
