Master Don Juan
Lots of men on the lower end of the height scale do just fine with women. They don’t let it get in their way. They compensate with personality and style. I went through most of my life at just about 6’ tall wishing I was taller. What a waste. I know lots of short men who are married to beautiful women who are taller than they are. They never let it get in their way. Maybe it’s not the ideal ratio but there was so much there that height was considered insignificant. The preference for height is understandable, and so is every other physical and psychological ideal. The man who crushes obstacles is the man who shifts his thinking so drastically as to create a new reality. If the reader doesn’t get what I’m saying, he hasn’t gotten to that point of understanding in life. I’m convinced that men usually stumble upon this concept (this shift in thinking) just as I did. I simply realized it one day. Suddenly my weaknesses were non-factors in attracting women. That’s what I mean when I say you’ve got to stop playing the game and instead become the game. It’s similar to being so involved in a sport that the only reality you have is your flow on the field. Nothing else exists; you’re just riding the current.
It’s a funny thing about life… most who have cracked the code in any aspect of life are unable to articulate how they did it. That’s why forums like this go on forever. In my 50s I figured it out (how to be attractive to a high percentage of women in spite of my weaknesses), but to this day I can only hint at how to do it. I wish I could formularize it. The masters just flow, but can’t find an effective way to verbalize how to get there. I like to think that I heard the phrase, “be the game” enough to stumble into how to do it.
As a performing guitarist I stumbled into completely eliminating self-consciousness by playing to myself instead of playing to the people. That concept unlocked my playing to a whole new level, without an ounce of self-doubt. I think that could thought of as “being the music”. I think this is similar to how to approach this game that we play, so that we can get over our perceived limitations and develop that subconscious state of mind where these perceptions vanish.
Short-ish stature or less than ideal looks are not limitations to those who get it.
