"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

How often do you complain? I'm mean really, how often do you say "dude wtf..."? Even if it's video games.

We need to learn to limit that. A HVM (High Value Man) doesn't complain (at least not aloud) because he's confident enough to know he has things & his emotions under control.

Two things a HVM understands are the Law of Least effort & the Triple C

A HVM is always Cool Calm & Collected and is never bent out of shape or extremely emotional.

We need to remember this as it allows us to approach our problems with the most logical and beneficial solutions.

I recently made and effort starting January 12th to stop complaining, and I was astounded at how often I have the urge to bang on something and go 'wtf?!'

What I want to encourage others at SS is to become conscious about complaining.

Notice how much we grown ass men whine. Then once we notice, stop.

Complaining doesn't solve a thing, and most of the time, things we complain about are things we simply can't change.

Energy spent complaining can be better used trying to fix our complaint or something more productive.

-'Why is the economy so bad?'
-'Why can't I get that blonde??
-'I'm 5'7...'
-'I'm balding'
-I'm Indian/Asian/Not White' (for our race trolls)

These are things we can't change.

Instead of focusing on the bad things that we can do absolute nothing about, let's focus on the things we can, like how fit we are, how much money we have, and how many dreams we're reaching for.

On the road to being a HVM.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Good post

Try going a week without complaining about something. Then you'll see how difficult it is & you'll realise how much you complain.

Various people have said that negative people normally have negative thoughts, positive people have positive thoughts.

I read an interesting article last night & I'm going to try & embrace the positive attitude more easier said than done < oops negative thought straight away :)

Look man, I am sorry for the tantrum I might have thrown in the other threads and I saw that you were trying to help. You are a solid dude.

I just wanted to come in and clarify that even though black men are technically seen as "ethnic", hot white women in the USA see them completely different than they see asians and indians. My question was simply how to accept that one major setback of being asian or indian in the USA and going after white women and do something with it.

Maybe the hot blondes aren't so different from a hot latina or a hot girl of another race but I do get the impression that they have different standards. Like what they want in men is so different. I never, and I mean never, see them with anything other than a black guy and it makes me wonder if an ethnic guy wanted one and worked hard enough at getting one, if he could get one.

Guess I touched on a sensitive topic but I just really wanted the answer and discussion on that. I just get that impression of attractive white women in the USA as these ice queens that hate anyone who isn't white or black, blondes are like this in particular.

Race, race, race. That's all Skinnyguy aka ThePlayedList is always obsessed with.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

While this could be an interesting exercise to try to stop complaining for a few days or whatever, I would like to lodge a complaint that it's too extreme to live by.

A person who never complains about anything ever will probably be less interesting to be around than the one who occasionally complains.

Moderation is key.

Great post. We can make a better use of our time than using it to complain.

Great post OP! I'm on board with the no complain challenge.
