Status may only attract damaged woman. When a woman is genuinely attracted to you on a sexual level and because you arouse something in her, rather than status, it is more genuine.

It's also the same thing when that 5 drives you crazy, mentally, even if you know you don't like her, and you see it as an 8, and when a 9 instead makes your **** hard but there's nothing on her you like.
