"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm just back from a one week holiday. Me, two of my dearest friends together partying. In that same week the girl i had a crush on for a while was there too. All the time i made moves on her but it didn't seem to work. She seemed totally into one of my friends from the get-go (they met each other for the first time that week). Halfway the holiday she and he hooked up. I felt like shyte after that, but the day after that i didn't really care anymore. Of course, it still sucked, but it didn't completely ruin my life like it used to do. It had happened to me before that a girl was snatched away from me before my eyes, and i would get all depressed about it and shyte. That's one big change i'm happy about. It doesn't affect me emotionally that much anymore.

It left me wondering though, does a true DJ have the capability to get any girl he likes, even if she's totally into another dude?

p.s. I have no hate at all about this towards my friend. Well, maybe a little because I told him that I liked the girl... but hell, I would had done the same wouldn't I?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Pretend to be his friend, then fvck him over with the girl... put doubts into her head especially if they fight or have an argument.

Yeah, you know, the guy from Fight Club...

Personally, I think your friend pulled a **** move. You did tell him you were interested and were working on her. He needs to wing for you, get you laid, then you can hand him sloppy 2nd's if he chooses to take them.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I'll take the opposing point of view here for sh1ts and giggles.

Your "friend" got what he got. You made moves, they didn't work, and were not going to work. She wasn't feeling you for whatever reason.

Why should your friend NOT get his? Because it'd hurt your feelings? Buddy, there are a TON of girls out there. She's not the last girl in the world.

I'd understand being upset if she was your LTR chick and he was trying to weasel his way into your relationship so he can destroy it. But not this...

To "Like" a girl the way you're describing it is to simply be infatuated. Infatuation clouds your thinking and your ability to play this game. You were a perfect candidate for oneitis.

Regardless, you never had her. She's not your property that you can claim.

I'd be annoyed/laughing if any guy came up to me and told me he liked her first and I was therefor banned from any interest in her.

Like i said, i'm not judging anyone here. Me feeling crappy after this the next day or me feeling a mild hatred for a while are just emotions. Emotions are not rational, they are quite the opposite actually.

I didn't say it specificly by the way. Guys talk about chicks all the time, and when the subject came up i made clear that i was into this one.

**** yea i would had done the same.

One major thing i need to change about myself is that i focus too much on one girl. I ignored a buch of good opportunities because i had this one on my mind.
