"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Regarding hypergamy, while I believe it's critical to understand hypergamy with our interactions with women, there's also a side effect to that can wreck havok on a man, and his sense of self-worth.

It's important to truly believe there's no 'better' men. Yes, there's guys richer, better looking, more successful based upon the values society places on men. But if you live your life, by your own values, your own goals, you can separate those goals from society, from what women tend to value, and live your life completely free of any drama that goes with it.

You don't own women. Therefore, there is no 'loss' if a woman chooses to be with another man. She's just not onboard your life anymore, as time always changes, and nothing stays the same. The boat, your life, sails on without her onboard. The guy struggling with a girl breaking up with him, is only struggling because of the sense of loss he feels. He then wonders why, and compares himself to other men, therefore trying rationalize on why. There is no better, only different. Time changes, people change, and it's nothing more than that gust of wind that is quickly gone.

You can spend years with a woman, enjoying life to the fullest, and the day she's not with you anymore smile about it. Have no regrets on those times spent, they were shared together. They were a joyful part of your life, because as a man, you are fulling in charge of your own life. So rejoice in that, because it's really the beauty of life.

The best thing any man can do, to live a full complete balanced life, is understand that nobody can affect your own personal sense of value. Women can value men for many different reasons, it's good to understand that, but you must control how you value yourself. Set your goals in the right direction, but enjoy women now, in the present moment because all it really is...is two people sharing time together. That's it. You can care for her, and if you truly do, you would want to wish her the best in life, and continue living your life the best way you can for yourself. Nothing ever stays the same.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Here, Mr. Positive bifurcates extrinsic value and intrinsic value. Whereas extrinsic value is determined by the perception of the world and, as arguably suggested by some in the Manosphere, abdicates to the theory of hypergamy; intrinsic value transcends this mundane, parochial, corporeal view of reality and demonstrates that you are only as great as the value that you ascribe to your self.

DJs hold intrinsic value, which supersedes extrinsic value and the impetus of any hypergamic inclination.

Very good post. I didn't realise it but I think this is the difference between me and a lot of people around me that I see every day. I see a lot of people not very happy or just content, perhaps because they don't value themselves that highly, or they're constantly trying to play by society's rules and standards. Whereas I value myself very highly (I'm wary that it can come across as arrogant sometimes as i've felt very confident lately) no matter what happens at work or elsewhere, barring something epic going wrong.

I feel free in a sense, because I know I'm getting what I want out of life and I know there's a lot more to come

Although it seems an obvious point, the OP was very insightful imo.
