"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I met this woman and her daughter in the park 2 weeks ago week. We chatted for a while and exchanged e-mail addresses. We seemed to have pretty good chemistry.

I shot her an e-mail inviting her to have Ice cream with me. Here is her reply.

"Ice Cream sounds good. but I have to tell you i'm soon to be married. but an ice cream cone will not hurt. I love ice cream!"

I'm feeling a little funny about this. My mistake for not probing properly. What would be the best thing to do? Should I just bow out? Just go on the date? Send some sort of reply?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

From my previous experience, i.e. dating a woman this year like five freaking times before she told me she was in a 7-year relationship, I wouldn't waste any more time. They want to see if they still "got it" and are attractive to other guys, meanwhile tossing the friends thing out there.

E-mail her and say you don't go out with soon-to-be-married women.

God, American women are f-cked up.

No, I didn't see a ring. That's usually the first thing that I look for.

That is crappy. What a waste of time and money. I'm thinking along the same lines...that she wants to feel like her life is not over. I also think that women think nothing of going out like this. After all they are not cheating until something really happens. American women ARE really F-d up

Um, aren't engaged women supposed to be wearing rings?

Well well, a slutty single mom who will go on dates with random guys right before her wedding - yup, American women REALLY ARE FVCKED UP. NEVER trust or reward one with marriage.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I don't know if I've found a good girl or what, but she never has the chance to go out with other guys. I ALWAYS know where she is and what she's doing, basically because she calls me all the damn time.

To take up for the girl, I still would like to think that I have some game left, even though I'm in a year long LTR. I would never go on another date with a girl though.

That's why this one confused me. I'll give her the old heave ho.

Just cancel out the plans. Either way she is nutts... she might be making it up - in which case she is nutts or she may actually be engaged - again she is nutts.

And to boot she has a kid from some previous guy.... LOL

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Ok well here's the wrap up.

My e-mail to her:

Sorry, I didn’t see a ring. I don't go out with soon-to-be-married women. Thanks though.

Her e-mail reply:

lol! I respect that! and I respect the fact you did not push it further like most men do. but I will see you around! You are a very sweet and intelligent man.

That sounds rather flirty...what a f'n slut!

You'd think a single mama would feel lucky enough to find another man to even marry her...instead of taking that for granted and fuxxoring around with guys on the side before they're even married! F'n self-absorbed American sluts!

Actually, what would be interesting here is playing along and seeing just how far she'd take it... Wow, that would really be an eye-opener to how women truly are these days!

HAHA!

But seriously, let's break it down with a little Intro to ********:

She says: "Ice Cream sounds good..."
TRANSLATION: "Ice cream sounds good, but garnering attention from multiple male sources sounds even better."

She says: "but I have to tell you i'm soon to be married..."
TRANSLATION: "But I have to tell you that if you do your job, I just may f*ck you, because I obviously have NO respect whatsoever for my prospective husband. But if you fail to do your job, I will use my engagement as an excuse to use you and then blow you off, while sparing myself of the guilt!"

She says: "but an ice cream cone will not hurt..."
TRANSLATION: "An ice cream cone certainly cannot hurt ME, because I have other options! You on the other hand... well, who cares."

She says: "I love ice cream!"
TRANSLATION: "I love attention!"

DrZaius09, Your translation is dead on.

wayword, You are on point also.

I just thought that the whole thing was a bit absurd. I feel sorry for the poor fiancee.

I was on the road to closing. After she said she was engaged I figured I could close after 2 dates. My game is good. Too good it seems if I can get a date with an engaged woman. LOL

The lesson here is that you don't have to bang every chick that you meet. Us Mature men can make better choices. She was good looking but I can do better.

I have been with another woman who was engaged. It's not my cup of tea. Besides, I have other irons in the fire. Thanks all for the quick and accurate analysis.

is it customary for a engaged woman to give out her email address to men in the park? or telephone numbers either?
how disrespectful to her guy.

Of course we all know the real lesson to be drawn from this:

DON'T TRUST AN (AMERICAN) WOMAN!!

What a piece of trash this one is, and the poor soon-to-be husband has no idea of the buzz saw he is heading into... being a true Captain-Save-A-Ho to this woman and replacement daddy.. the chump!

All you fools who think men and women can just be good friends, etc... this is what your stupidity has wrought. Now the hoes think they can collect a harem of "friends" while engaged to be married! What will she do AFTER the marriage?

I hope all of you take a lesson from this.....before you get married, think twice, then think thrice.. and spin, spin spin plates.

Well said.

Here is my philosophy based on my internal values.

I won’t date a woman that is married (regardless of how messed up is her marriage – there is something called divorced or separation) .

I won’t date a woman that is about to get married (e.g. has a fiancé).

I might date a woman that has a boyfriend, as long as I don’t know the boyfriend or interact or have interacted with him. We all know that women typically hold to their boyfriends (even when things are “over”) until something “better” comes along. However, I won’t be in a serious Long Term relationship with this woman. She will do to me what she is just doing to him with me.

Single mothers? I have not problem seeing a single mother. My problem is being involved in a relationship with one. Unless she is filthy rich. ;)

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
