If you find you hate your job, figure out what exactly you hate about it. I hated my job for a while because I wasn't able to be creative and I didn't have enough to do. So I created a position for myself as well as started a side business where i could be more creative. In my new position, I identified certian things that weren't being done and I took the intiative to do them. My boss likes it because it makes her look good, it makes my coworkers look good and gives us all work to justify out jobs (we have had months with nothing to do, and they are cutting jobs, not a good position to be in) and it has raised the standing of our department in the eyes of upper management. So now I hate my job less, I feel like apart of the team and that I actually have something to contribute. In my freelance work I can be creative and do interesting things that don't go down at work.

So if you hate your job, figure out why and do what you can. Don't be reactive, be proactive. I've had a job since I was 14, so I don't know what it means to be unemployed. Even when I don't have a boss, I work for myself and hustle. Slacking is for losers in my book.

Huh? Manual labor is what BUILT this country. We've shipped most of it overseas so we can remain fat and happy shlepping behind some desk all day being lazy.
I didn't get a Masters degree so I can work at some manual labor job where I probably won't last a month.. That's why we have capitalism.. if you don't like the job, you don't do it (and don't get paid.)

How does staring at a computer screen all day actually accomplish anything?

We've lost our sense of hard work in this country. Go build something.
Cause I get paid to stare at a computer screen full of financial data at my job.

I agree, it's important to have a career that you enjoy doing. Didn't mean to devalue your hard work and dedication towards getting a master's degree. That is capitalism, and we all have right to pursue the jobs we consider worth our time.

I did office work, but made the choice to move to blue collar work. I like the 'action' aspect, and just could not sit still behind a desk all day.

Been unemployed and have had a job I hated. Both made me hungry enough to take a chance to find something better. The thing is to look at it as a time to get ready for whatever may come along.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

having been in both situations, I would say I would rather be at a job I dislike. being unemployed is not something I am terribly proud of right now, and watching my bank accounts decreasing doesn't sit well with me. at least when I had my last job that I didn't like all that much, I was busy and still managed to try and make the best of things. I made a lot of good friends at this company many of whom I still speak with 2 years later.

Everyone is aware most jobs have busy times and dead times. There is something rewarding about taking that dead time and producing something useful for yourself. Sure, you are forced to sit at a desk most of the day, but if the job is chill enough, you can walk around, listen to some music, work on some math/reading, and make some time of it. Ebooks are one of my favorite ways to pass time when the job is going slow.

The grass is always greener on the other side...
