Kid was stupid to confront them head on. Should have followed them around and picked them off one by one. I don't think parents are teaching their kids any street skills anymore. Instead of a curriculum focusing on providing 12 genders and homosexual sex ed information, we should be focusing on self defense skills, hostile cultural awareness and street smarts.

"Street skills" are considered violence, and every school I know of has a "zero-tolerance" policy regarding violence. They tell kids that if someone attacks them at school, if they fight back to defend themselves at all, then they will be punished just as much as their attacker. They tell kids to just take the beating and cry for a teacher to save them.

School shootings, in military terms, are "near ambushes." It's a shooter within hand grenade range. There are near ambushes and far. In the event of a far ambush, the Army protocol is for everyone to drop and take cover. But in a near ambush, FM 7-8, the field manual for Infantry, instructs soldiers to rush a near ambush. Because that's what works. If everyone runs at the shooter, he can only pick off one or two before getting tackled and subdued.

But for a near ambush in a school, we don't teach kids what works, which is rushing the shooter. We teach them to lay there and let themselves be killed, because defending themselves would involve violence, and we all know violence is wrong. The right thing to do is just lay down and die without ever fighting back.
