Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I have a roommate here at the apartment and he's been a long-time friend of mine since middle school. A year and a half ago, he began dating a girl who he'd known for years at his school. After six months of dating , they got engaged and he was, and has been a whooped, pathetic, and sad form of his former self.

This chick has a hell of a history; she's been raped, abused as a child, is controlling of every aspect of her life as well as his, and is extremely clingy(calls him every 5 min. of the day if they're not together - no joke). My roommate has lost all his friends except me who is waiting for the lease to be up in October. He always gives in to any and everything in life (major pushover) and is a lost cause at this point just because he's too far in with her and doesnt listen to anyone, when we say he's wrong in staying with her. He PAID for the whole wedding that they're suppose to have in November because the parents refuse to let go of "their little girl" or something along those lines.

Anyways, I walked by his room the other evening and began shooting the shyt with him for a bit about our day and noticed he was reading a book titled "Wild at Heart" which he claims is teaching him how "every boy has dreams of rescuing the damsel in distress and that every girl has dreams, too: of being rescued by her prince and swept up into a great adventure, knowing that she is the beuaty" ... just sickening ...

I blew up at him and slammed his door on my way out because I cant stand seeing that kind of cr@p...

**Tip for playaz**... Dont ever let a chick buy u a book/magazine/article for reading purposes about how to change your ways as a man ... Take it as a slap in the face and give it back to her and as a red flag to leave her ... as she probably is a fake...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
