Hate to blow your cute little theory out of the water, but since I do not live on planet Earth all by my lonesome, I am able to observe and learn from the relationships of others and even listen to my male friends commiserate about the very same horrid behavior by women.

I'm fully aware that it's not true, if you had read my post a little more carefully then you might have realised that throughout that paragraph I was referrin' to women seekin' the optimum guy to settle down with... the optimum guy being a high flyer, with good looks... followed by the high flyer

If she settles down with this guy, then chances are the kid will either come out with the same instincts as dad, or daddy knows someone who can hook the kid up.. if both of those fail to happen then at least a good lookin' kid came out of it

Do the maths on it... chances of a high flyer comin' out of a good lookin' woman and a high school drop out partner are slim... kid may look good but doesn't have the knowledge, and if partners happen to be ugly, then chances of good looks comin' out of it will be slim... then, chance of a high flyer comin' out of a good lookin' woman with a high flyin', good lookin' partner, are gonna be very high, and if that doesn't quite work out, with both partners have good looks the child's at least got that on it's side... or the final outcome, good lookin' woman with high flyin' ugly partner... half chance that kid will come out with woman's good looks, and half chance it will end up with high flyers knowledge and connects... if kid lands it's father's looks, then some of that money can be used to buy some better looks... basically, I'm sayin' the more positive things you put into the mix then the higher the probability of the child being 'perfect'...

Your theory needs a little modification.

HOT women are the gold diggers.

If you're beautiful why settle for someone without money when you could do better.

Average looking women can't afford to be too choosy. They're happy to get whatever they can.

Somewhere in between Average and HOT is where you want to focus your attention. You'll still find gold diggers but unless you're clueless they're easy to spot.
