I just thought it would be nice to start a thread like this given that today is the anniversary of that horrible day.

I myself was woken up by my sister on the telephone to let me know the first plane hit. I turned on the TV just after the 2nd one hit. Just writing this makes me angry all over again and I thank our troops for everything they've done since.

Anyway, I hope you all share your stories.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I was standing on the roof of my apartment building in Brooklyn and watching the smoke spread across the sky over Manhattan.
I was 15 , and that was the first time i really realized how sh1tty this world we live in really is.

I´d just finished watching Neighbours in England and the BBC cut to a shot of the first tower after the plane had hit.

I remember getting my dad who was outside and me, my sister and him watched as the second plane hit. He started talking about Al-Qaeda, who i had never heard about up until then. My dad started explaining to me who Bin Laden was and how this is going to change the world in which we live in.

It´s like Ramzi Yousef said when he tried to blow them up in 1991. An FBI agent told him he had failed and that they were still standing, he replied that with more money and more explosives they wouldn´t be.

R.I.P all those who died and are still dying for this.

I was in college until 11 or so, then I drove home. Radio had same thing on all stations. I listened, but I didn't understand what happened. I come home, turn on TV, then it hit me..... Those attacks caught me wide eyed, and I was down with whatever Bush offered.

R.I.P. 9 11 victims, R.I.P. all those who we killed, not only cave dwellers, but the civilian population who was in the way. R.I.P. all those who we are still to kill and those of us who are still to die in this struggle.

I was driving home from work after a 12 hour graveyard shift.
I heard it on the radio. I stayed awake the entire day watching it. It was sickening to see those people jumping out of the buildings.

Exactly 3 months earlier I had joined the Marine Corps and was waiting to leave. That day I knew my tour wouldn't be a a peaceful one.

I was in 8th grade...13 years old...it seems just like yesterday and being in a city that was likely to be hit we were on alert. Everyone was scared, some were crying, we all took turns calling our parents to see if they were ok. School let out early that day and we all went home to watch the news. It didn't seem real, but then the towers came down and I couldn't believe it. Like the guy above I suddenly felt vulnerable and realized the world is a screwed up place, but it's all we got.

RIP to all the heroes that lost their lives that day :(

Living on the west coast, I was still sleep when it actually happened. I usually leave my radio on overnight. I woke up for a second and thought I heard something about a plane crashing into the world trade center and I was like "huh?" so I turned on the TV and there it was to see. I literally felt sick in my stomach as I was watching this happen. I called my dad who lives in Nashville and was like, "dad, are you watching this???" and he was. I basically stayed glued to my TV for 3 days straight. I can't even stand to watch the footage anymore, because it brings back all those memories and feelings I had on the first day. Even long after, I would see an old movie with a shot of the NYC skyline with the towers intact and have to take a deep breath.

I remember turning on the TV seeing smoke coming from this building not really sure what was going on as I woke up more I realized this was something bigger then just a fire that a plane had crashed into one of the towers...As I continued watching I witness the second plane crash into the other tower and remember saying to myself wtf is going on...little did I think our own country would get hit like this and by a bunch of religious extremist to boot what a bunch of dumb fu*ks.

My prayers are with the families who loss love ones in this senseless act.
