"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

School just ended for me and I have been reflecting a lot lately on my failure to well, do anything signifigant.

I was hoping to meet some nice hot asian chick this year, but that didn't happen. I was in a one year college program. There were only 3 other guys in my class of twenty or so. Ample oppertunity right? Wrong. Everyone of the girls was in a serious relationship. And no asian in my class.

So I tried to game on some of the ESL students in other programs but to no avail.

Eventually I wrote off dating someone at school because it's a small campus and reputations were set. Including mine of being a loser with women.

I did however have the unpleasent experience of actually getting two dates off campus with some university chicks, (University is more prestige in Canada than a college). One of those girls was a fat vietnamese girl with a gambling problem and the other was just a complete pyscho.

Oh and before school started I had a 2 month fling with married woman that failed to mention that little fact about her past. It was dissappointing to me but I still felt on top of the world because I was actually having sex.

But it seems as though everytime I make an improvement in my game, my DJhood, I end up taking 10 bagillion steps backwards.

For me sex seems to be like an annual thing. And since I had it so much this past summer, I fear that I have met my quota for the next 300 years.

But despite not reaching my main goal, I do try and focus on the positives. For example inspite of the two horrendous dates I've been on, that is twice as many dates I've ever been on in one year. I can also approach a two-set. Fact is shyness isn't really an issue anymore at all. I've also learned that if I want to make-out with a girl, all I have to do is show up to a bar, and they approach me. I don't have to do anything at all except stand near the dance floor.

People always ask me why I am going to asia in the fall, I usually give them all the true but generic answers. But the answer I've never really told anyone is because right now I live in a country that is about 70-80% white people. Nothing wrong with that, it just means that I don't have enough oppertunity to date asian women and improve my game. That is not the main reason for my travels, but I'd be delusional to kid my self by saying it's not. I really am going for the culture and the food, but I am also going so I can eat out chinese.

Anyway, I am getting off topic. In the last couple weeks I have given up all hope, because I am moving across the country soon (from Ont to Yukon) for about four months of work. Seeing as this is the end of a time period in which I had high hopes of actually having sex again, and I didn't, I have taken he time to reflect on this experience. It's been even harder this year because I went from hero to zero in the blink of an eye.

Other than trying harder, I don't know what I could've done to steer clear of mediocraty boulevard.

What are your thoughts on it?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

When I was in university my goal was meet 1 new girl each day... it took 3 months before people started noticing. It doesn't really take a huge amount of effort, more just consistant effort.

Except lately this has been one of the pieces of advice that's easier to give than to follow.
