Most YouTube users have attention deficit and can't watch a 10 or 15 minute long video. Most content creators make a mission to make their videos short! Here is a unicorn of videos, a 5:57:49, that's 5 hours, 57 minutes and 49 seconds long video! Idea is not to make a video short, idea is to make a video interesting to watch. It already has eight hundred eighty nine thousand views, almost a million! Number of views will only go up with time.
What is this video about? It's about operation overlord and d-day. Author started from far far away, from Rollo the Walker, back in 993 A.D. who become the first Norman. Well this is a video about the invasion of Normandy after all, viewer must know the origins of Normandy and the fact Rollo's son in 1066 crossed the channel and invaded Britain, that was the last time someone successfully invaded Britain.
Then author shifts into Germany's attempt to invade Britain, and it's utter logistical failure to do so. Why? Well it is to show the viewer that d-day invasion was a massive logistical and technological undertaking.
