I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Got a question. I'm considering going back to school anyone close to my age done this?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I haven't but I know guys older than you that have gone. I know guys close to my age who have just gotten their degrees. I've read that with as fast as the economy changes these days, people may have to go back to school several times in their lifetime to change their area of expertise.

I say this in case you are feeling embarassed about going to school at your age, which you shouldn't. If you're just asking because you want some tips on how to take advantage of your situation to pick up college girls at 38: Never mind.

I know someone going for a masters and then PhD at 45 for a new career.

I know someone in her 50s getting her bachelors to improve her current career.

Going back to school later in life is much more accepted today.

Go for it.
