"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hello,

I am in a position that my contract ends in Feb and i need to move out. now i have two options :

1. find a place by my own which is more expensive and be alone.
2. Find a roommate (girl) and find a bigger place and cut the expenses in half.

One of the things i keep thinking about do i need to live with a roommate in my age... but on the second thought its very expensive and also you have another person to talk to instead being alone.

Also , what a girl will think about this?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Fvck the age thing dude, Think of it as a financial plan. If you feel you can deal with a room mate for now that enables you to save money for a bigger place of your own in the future, then do that. If you must go and get a place for yourself now, Calculate the hit you would take financially and if its worth it then go ahead and do it. If not, then hold off.

I shared a house with two girls for the best part of a year once.

Their boyfriends were practically in the house the majority of the time. sh***ing, sleeping, showering, eating, and generally consuming utilities and space.

Something to think about if you decide to live with a girl.

I decided to pay more than twice the rent and get my own place.

There's nothing worse than sharing a place with girls. You find out how disgusting they really are and it can really scar you for life. You can also forget about having peace and quiet anytime soon.

At best share a place with a friend or somehow you know, if you're otherwise bored and could do with some spare cash.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

For what it's worth, and this is only a personal opinion, I find people in their 30's with roommates weird. It means you either can't stand your own company or you can't afford to live on your own - which means you don't have your sh!t together (And, at 30-31, it's not a bad idea to have your sh!t together)

Roommates suck. Get your own place. It'll cost more but it's way more convenient.

Get your own place. I'm currently living with a roommate and it sucks ass. The guys a pig and a social retard. If you really can't afford it then make sure its someone you get along with really well.

This ^^ You may have my old roomate thunder. I only did cause I had to after divorce! Thank god he moved out 6 months after & still paid his half. After that decided I was done with roomates.

I hate apartments but got lucky & found a unit in a 4plex. I LOVE living alone, just me & my dog.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Ya also it makes it kind of inconvenient bringing a chick or guests over. Your roommate is gonna be *****ing about the noise when you bang it out with the chick in your room.

...having your own place is best. My suggestion...try to see if you can find a place for yourself that's locationally smart, something that is small/cheap/near entertainment and singles scenes. Don't get caught up on size, don't get caught up on it being anything more than what you and you alone need. Find something that fits the situation and your social needs, something that lets you be more active in life, and then dress it up and make it visually appealing.

Roommates are roommates...if you need to split costs, then no prob at your age with doing it. Living with a woman won't be good...it's not what you think it'll be, the posts above covered this very well and you'll just be annoyed. It's not like she'll be having all kinds of hot friends over and it'll be a blast...won't work that way.

I'm turning 29 and again, the best advice is to live near people and nightlife. It makes everything so damned simple when it comes to socializing...again, see if you can optimize location and go as small and cheap as you can. Deck it out to be impressive, and you should be good to go. I've thought about taking in a friend as a roomie...but it's just not worth it at all as long as you're able to capitalize on the perks of having your own place.

Cost of living is the other thing here...big diff between DC and rural Kentucky. No big deal if you get a roomie, so don't worry, but try to look around and see if you can locationally take advantage of something. You'd be surprised how much of a gap there can be between areas.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
