"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Ok, this post, from the very beginning is full of shyt. Unfortunatley this site has come to a point where people are posting things that aren't even true, just so that they can get alot of responses in their thread.

The comment about girls "asking me to spend the day with them" after he went up and approached them with something like "I just want to tell you I think your very attractive and had to meet you", hahaha, yeah I can really see that working. I know this doesn't work, even the concept of a girl asking you to spend the day with her after knowing her for 30 seconds is bullshyt.

Remember, you have to be able to decipher good advice from bad advice, and guys this is bad advice. The only thing that this thread encourages is approach confidence. All you need is confidence and you will be just fine. Do not let the SS boards delude you into a fantasy world of women, because if you read whats on this site, and then actually go out into the world you will notice that they are two different things.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Sosuave member says:

If approaching were as easy as you say, there would be no PUA web sites and AFC's. Most guys would be getting laid. There's a reason men pay $1000.00 to learn how to to pick up women.

Krassus reply:

It becomes easy only IF AND WHEN you conquer yourself (meaning your fears, selfishness, etc).

Selfishness has been attacked throughout the thread.

The real problem is misplaced focus.

The weak DJ convos a girl thinking I want her...(number, as girlfriend, body etc).

The genuine DJ convos a girl thinking 'I love you'.

The genuine DJ's dominant focus is on X - a thing whose success is SOLELY dependant on the DJ.

I'd like to add my 2c to this thread. First time I read it I was an RAFC, and I agreed with some of the detractors - "it's Hippy gunwitch, etc".

That was a few months ago. In the meantime, I had stopped the quest for women, and went off on a spiritual one to fix my depression (which stemmed from women). And I have to say that the original post seems to be the truth.

I say "seems" to be because I am only now returning to PU, having conquered my depression and a lot of other problems. And how did I defeat those? Not therapy, not this and that (I've tried almost everything, spent thousands and thousands of dollars, researched dozens of different philsophies and so on) - the ones that worked for me all point to one thing at the end - unconditional love.

I have not reached that point yet - but the teachings that have led me to fix my depression (lasted like 4 years - made me lose my job etc) ultimately point to unconditional love.

So I would say that this technique works but only if you master it - but if you do you would have mastered life and everything else.

I think the detractors confuse romantic love (I would die without you, etc) with unconditional love. Romantic love is conditional love, that is, not love at all. "I will love you, but if you cheat on me, I will hate you". That is AFC love.

Unconditional love is accepting and loving everything, including the other person. Even if they cheat on you. If you truly love someone, then you will accept that her fvcking someone else makes her happy, and that should make you happy too. Even if you are hurt by it, love the hurt, and watch what happens.

Yeap, sounds gay. But how did I get over my depression? Not by fighting it, which made it worse. But my accepting it. And loving it. It just disappeared.
