I think the worst way to live your life is how i like to call it "autopilot". With no goals, no passions, basically just existing - not living. Lacking direction in life leads to laziness, being out of shape, resorting to all the different drugs, porno, you fill in the blank.

Starting tomorrow for 3 weeks, I've made for myself a schedule of guidelines, including no cigarettes/alcohol/drugs, porn or jerking off, running outside everyday, eating healthy, learn something new every day, take care of business without delay... and some more minor ones. I have a part time job and taking a summer class - so I'll stay busy. By the way - spending minimal time online and watching TV is on the list, so I'll just quickly check for interesting threads here, and give you guys updates on how I'm doing.

Lets get it on.

i am actually in the same boat. I just broke up with my gf and all have been doing is improving myself (lifting, eating healthy, new clothes, reading, etc.) My ex gf was pretty great, but now I just wanna focus on improving myself now so I can get a new hb9-10. After all you can't play for the Yankees without building yourself up first right?

I am trying to get out of the autopilot. The existing, not living thing. I am trying to not jerk off and drink as much. Working out, and watching what I eat. So, I am going to make it happen.I am going to stop posting on here, cept for success stories. I dont see myself lacking goals, but having a hard time reaching them.

ion, like I said before, "wishing" is not a "goal".

Don't confuse the two.

As for drinking and jerking off, just dont do it. There's NO TRYING. There's just do or not do.

Its not like running a whole marathon and saying I tried but did not complete the race.

goals are good thing to have. but don't take it too big at first. if you think you can make yourself a superman in 3 weeks then good luck, honestly. but shorter and reasonable goals are better imo. and you can any moment expand from there ;)

Vlad... I found that the best thing to do is just to keep yourself occupied. If you haven't done bootcamp already, make it your goal to follow bootcamp and really immerse yourself into it. Because you'll be going out 4 times a week and meeting a bunch of new people, you won't even have time to jerk off, watch TV, do drugs, etc. Just also make it a goal NOT to drink and/or do drugs when you do go out. You have to learn this stuff in your most natural state. I myself am a beginner, but when I went through bootcamp I found that I had no time for other stuff and before you know it I was like "holy cr@p, I haven't jerked off in like 3 weeks".

Wish you the best!

Set some long term goals for a year or two down the road, and make smaller monthly and weekly goals. Having goals is important to keeping off autopilot. Otherwise you'll just wander aimlessly through your life. Good luck with your 3 week overhaul Vladdy.

One useful tip:
have routines for each of these new major activities.
A routine is something like:'You start an activity at the exact same time each day and you continue no matter what until a certain hour. That period of time is dedicated to that activity. If you missed it you have a plan B to recuperate it in another day with the same guidelines of starting and finishing.'

This looks like something I'm going to go ahead and do also. The semester starts the 25th, and I think this will get me ready for a great semester.

I've just got my new workout routine underway also.

Well, first day was successful. Feeling a little bit on the pissed-off side, but in a good way... not sure how to explain that..
