lets just say you end up in the same room with hot chick.
Theres a big difference between saying hi to her within 3 seconds vs 1 minute later.

Opening your mouth 1 minute later feels like "Oh, why is he talking to me all the sudden. CREEPY" isnt that the reason why 3 second rule is important?

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The three second is more for you to do it rather than to make it seem appropriate.. It is so you do not hesitate/overthink it and just go for it. Not for the girl to be expecting it.
