Hi all,
So, I just went out with this girl last night for the 1st date.
We kissed and hugged (no sex on first date as our society in my country is a lot more conservative than western ones).
Looking back, there were many things I could have done better (I'm a noob and honestly, I have tried my best), but overall, I don't think I did that bad since the end part of the date was pretty much much better than the initial part.
The date lasted 5+ hours. I tried to end it faster (they say 1st dates = 2 - 3 hours most, maybe 2 hours) but we both just can't control ourselves and it just had to go on.
Now, my questions are:
1) How long should I wait for 2nd date?
2) I've a social gathering next Thur and she'll be there (since we have many mutual friends). How should I behave in this sort of situation? Cos' now, she's not exactly my girlfriend officially yet, but we're not platonic friends either.
Kinda stuck in between, like a pre-girlfriend stage.
It's this kind of gray area that makes me confused. Problem is, because this is gonna be a dinner with friends, it's impossible to isolate her.
Should I ask her out for a 2nd date during this social gathering?
3) Since it's 9 Jan now, should I just wait for Valentine's day to come to ask her out for 2nd date? Cos' she's traveling overseas from end-Jan - early Feb, so it's a bit hard to nail a date down.
4) Girls always say they like funny guys and girls laugh the hardest and enjoy themselves around those naturally funny guys, but I noticed that in almost every couple I've seen on the streets, or friends etc, they tend to have a more solemn mood if you know what I mean.
E.g: girl and guy walking slowly, talking, not much laughter, some kissing instead of the girl laughing all the time at her boyfriend's jokes etc
5) Since the girl is from social circle and some of our friends have already started "grilling" me on the date etc, should I pretend we didn't go on the date, or should I just come out and admit it etc.?
Cos' the girl told one of her friends that she went out with me, and it started spreading. I'm afraid if I admit it openly, she might get pissed. Not sure, though.
Tks!
