Marijuana legalization has strong leads right now in Colorado and Washington. It looks like it's going to happen.

Obama has promised to change the drug war if he is re elected.

I know, his promises should be taken with a grain of salt but he is much better than Romney.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Of course he's much better! After all, he smiles a lot and talks about hope. A bad person wouldn't do that, right? Plus, he's black, so you're supposed to feel guilty if you don't support him...

This is a great victory for the lowest common denominator.

Romney is a lying sack of sh!t just like George Bush. I will never vote republican again most likely because of Bush. Repubs may never win another presidential election. They lost a generation.

Until America reforms its electoral system to prevent "winner takes all" elections, the only semblance of choice Americans will have is voting for "the lesser of two evils".

The historic outcome of a 'winner takes all' election is that both parties become two competing factions under the same umbrella Party of incumbents, lobbyists, and faceless interest groups who fund both sides.

That is only possible due to a 'captive' electorate who feel forced to vote in the Coke vs. Pepsi puppet show.

There simply is no practical or realistic incentive to vote for someone whom you support. You can clear your conscience by voting for your ideological representative, however your individual conscience does not affect public policy.
This is not a uniquely American problem. Canada, UK and Australia get the same Coke vs. Pepsi choice in the form of Liberals/Labour vs. watered down "Conservatives". In Europe, where most countries have proportional representation, no party can win enough votes to form a majority, so they are forced to govern though centrist coalitions.

The only way we could have fair and truly representative elections is if we banned political parties altogether. George Washington, the man who refused to be made king and was possibly the only honest politician in American history, warned against the evils of political parties. Unfortunately, his warnings fell on deaf ears.

The fact that political parties corrupt and serve the interests of the political elite rather than the population at large is only part of the problem. The other issue is the inevitable race to the center, as each party tries to capture the undecideds and swing voters by being as "moderate" as possible without completely alienating their base. The end result is that you have two centrist parties that are essentially carbon copies of each other, and only differ on a handful of straw man issues like abortion and gay marriage (issues that do not directly affect the vast majority of voters).

The only solution is to have parliamentarians that are not affiliated with and beholden to a powerful political party and who can freely vote in a way that reflects the wishes of their constituents.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

12:24 Eastern Standard Time Obama projected to win election?

This countries future is so fvcked now.

How can a country in one of the worst economies since the great depression reelect Obama?

He's run up this countries debt so high already just imagine what he's going to do in the next 4 years.

Europe's going bankrupt and over the next 5-10 years so will we with Obama running up the debt like a teenager with his first credit card.

We're fvcked.

You are very naive if you think that Obama is not lying, hypocritical sack of sh*t. That's pretty much a prerequisite for making it big in politics.

I never praised Obama. I already said in another post he is the lesser piece of sh!t.

don't blame me Republicans nominated a larger piece of sh!t that nobody liked.

I would have voted republican if they nominated Ron Paul.

Out of curiosity, what makes him a lesser piece of sh*t in your opinion? Seems to me like his anti-gun, pro-tax, pro-nanny state agenda puts him even further away from the Libertarian ideals than Romney. At least Romney would have had his hands tied to some extent by the Tea Party elements in his party. Obama, on the other hand, couldn't give a flying f*ck about libertarians.

yep, it's over. Women and Hispanics were the difference in this one. women will never need to date us ever again, they have their boyfriend/husband the government now. they can get all the "free" birth control and have abortions like I have bowel movements in the mornings. congrats, ladies. just remember when you want to go on a date, I won't have any fvcking money because the economy sucks monkey balls.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Refer to Nobel Peace Prize and Libya, one of the most advanced countries in terms of the human development index and education in the region BEFORE Obama helped rebels take over that were even more radically Islam and oppressive. Whoops.

Or when Obama took troops out of Iraq.....to funnel them into Afghanistan instead.

Little things like that. But don't worry Obama killed Osama so is all good.

Obama said before his first election that Afghanistan war would be expanded. that's where the terrorists were not Iraq.

"That's where the terrorists were" is like Bush saying "That's where the WMD's were".

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

^^Except that is directly against federal law. That'll probably last for a couple weeks.

Seriously, though, I don't think women should vote. They vote on emotion, or who looks "unshaven" on TV, or who "looks more presidential." Seriously, look at the first woman-elected president: Woodrow Wilson. It just goes downhill from there. Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln were elected by men.

If only men voted it would have been Romney. Just saying.

I can say 2 things based on this election and these results.

1- For a people who claim so much that they don't believe in government, Americans believe a lot in the government. Cause I don't think there is not at all difference in the candidates, nor that their campaigned "policies" will have any real effect on the actual American system, except for that Obama is more to the left, but just a little. Romney campaign was reduced to "I agree with my opponent, but I think he is just wrong, and I'll do the same things he did, except I'll do different." He had very little to campaign on, except on Obamacare, which is ironic cause you can say Romney created it. Obama just continued most of Republican policies anyway.

2- The campaigns did not matter AT ALL. All that money and time was just wasted, cause all the voting was biased among demographics. The whites voted for Romney, males voted for Romney, Women and minorities voted for Obama.

I have to disagree with that. Women should vote, The problem is not women voting but the men creating the laws.

i agree with what you say though i don't think number 1 is totally accurate

The current GOP platform, and to an extension romney alienates most minorities, single women and to an extension fo that single men.

the only people that the GOP platform really caters to is married white couples.

you aren't going to tell women that rape was intended to happen by god, what to do with their body, tell Mexicans that them or their kids that brought dont' belong here and need to go back home, and african americans that the only reason they vote for obama is beucase he's black, and win an election in the united states. just not gonna happen and anyone who honestly thought it would happen is pretty ignorant. that's too many votes.

go back and look at the elctorial map. Mitt cleaned house in the mid west and the deep south. and lost just about everything else.

I get what you are saying.

The only part I'm not clear on...

How does the GOP alienate single white men?
