I'm in agreement. Those last few seconds completely validated the guys argument and completely sank hers. She doesn't need a man's help but is perfectly willing to accept, what I imagine, is quite a large alimony settlement. I'm sure "all" of that money goes directly into her kids pockets and she's not using any of it for extravagance for herself at all.
What's more she'll continue to collect said money until the kids become of age, depending on how her divorce played out, or (drum roll) she finds another husband! Gimmie a break, with the don't depend on men statements. She's his argument personified.

My favorite is the "women are stronger" BS reason for women to live longer than men.
They outlive us because they don't deal with half the pressure and responsibility that we do. They don't fukkin do anything! If these so-called "strong women" had to walk in a man's shoes for a DAY, they'd be sitting in the corner sucking their thumb at the end of it.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
