"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Met a girl at the bar a week ago, gave me her number, had been little communication between then and now, a few texts from her (including some pix texts), nothing much.

I knew she was interested in me that night, and that a date would eventually happen. Tonights the night. Well, we really know NOTHING about one-another, except that we're both 22, work full-time, and that's it.

We're meeting up for coffee later tonight. I figure this is a good first date spot, quiet, relaxing, and easy to leave if things go bad (which they won't)...

Assuming the conversation goes well, I'd like to go for a walk in the park, or by the river (awesome skyline views) with her, and see where we can go from there.

Up, up, and away!

Trip report to follow.

One quick ? before I leave. It's raining out right now, not sure how long it's going to last. Suppose it rains all night. Any post date ideas?

FWIW, she lives about 1/2 mile away from our date spot...

Usually I would stick to the coffee and not do a post date since this is your first date with her. It might make you look needy if you continue wanting to hang out with her after coffee... And if she already has plans then your left hanging... After the date give her a kiss on the cheek and be like I had a good time well have to do this again SOMETIME... Leave her wondering

My only tip is if things go really well, don't ask her if you'll see her again or anything like that. It's ok if she asks! Just don't come off like you NEED to see her again because you don't. You just like meeting new people, seeing if you have a connection, etc, at least thats what you want to convey. USE ACTIONS to express your interest. Kiss her at the end, on the cheek at the very least, but preferably on the lips and make sure you tell yourself to have some balls if you are chickening out at all!

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Thank you!
Someone in here doesn't say--go for the kiss.....sometimes, it is ok to just meet up with someone, flirt, gauge YOUR interest in her, and not always be aiming for the sheets the first night.

Now, of course, it's fun and desirable to kiss (and more) on the first date, but there is something to be said about getting to know someone, especially if you see potential in her.

Just keep it simple on the first date, don't worry about what may or may not physically happen. If it does great, if it doesn't next time FOR SURE. Just make sure if the opportunity is there, that you do something with it.

The opportunity is there if you create the opportunity. If the girl is a complete loser, then of course don't waste your time. The reason we tell people to go for the kiss is because it increases their confidence and helps them realize that kissing gets easier with practice. If you don't make an attempt, you'll never get better!

For the safety of myself, I'm not going to elaborate a bunch...sorry...

Well gentlemen, had I gone home last night, wank in hand, I would have hit this thread up again. It just so happens some girl wasn't about to let me leave...

Planned on meeting said girl at a coffee shop for some convo, and cappuccino, however, she suggested I just head straight to her house, and we could ride together.

I got there, felt very comfortable, and I could tell she was too, and promptly made myself at home. She poured me a stiff Cap'n'Coke, and we talked over our ****tails for about an hour. A lot of career talk, family stuff, basically just getting to know one another. No kino to speak of at this point, no biggie though, I've got it all drawn out...

Convo's going good, drinks are getting low, we decide to split. Now, I really wasn't feeling coffee at this point, so I figured we may as well stick to alcohol. We checked out this really cool bar, and made home there for a couple hours, and a couple drinks later we headed back to her place.

The conversation was fantastic at the bar, tons of flirting, ball busting, all while escalating the sexual tension. It was practically through the roof.

She lets me in, fixes a couple more drinks (my 5th, her 4th), and we head for her room. While there we chilled on her bed, sipped our drinks, and continued vibing, and enjoying each others company.

I wasn't planning on staying, as I had to be to work at 7. However, her persistence paid off, and I only work 10 minutes from her place. It was convenient, and I'm up for anything.

I'm not going to go into too much detail here, but I will satisfy your wonderings. I ended up staying at her place, clothes found their way onto her floor, and the room got a few degrees warmer...

God I hope she doesn't read this forum...

P.S. - If anyone wants specifics like, dialouge, kino runs, and **** like that from the date, feel free to PM me.

Just post the specifics here. We are all about kiss n tell (kiss and a lot more in your case) here as long as it is for everybody's educational benefit.

The odds of her reading this forum are very slim. The odds of her reading this forum and choosing to read this post are even slimmer. The odds of her reading this post and knowing you are the same guy she was with last night are even slimmer to that. We're talking highly statistical unlikelyness that she could even draw the connection.

Oh. Forgot to say congratulations. You hit the nail on the head and if you keep your cool, let her miss you a bit and setup a next date I think you could have yourself a regular here in no time!
