Yeah...it is sick. Ironically, around the same time that happened there was a particularly horrendous Domestic Violence episode in my neighborhood. The husband tried to kill his wife in front of their children. He grabbed his crying 10 month old baby on a short break from beating his wife and said "This is the night your mother is going to die" and then punched the baby in the head. The wife took the phone while he was doing this and dialed 911 while coughing to hide what she was doing and then set the cordless handset on the bookcase headboard of their bed, connected to 911. They have what he did to that baby on tape as well as his attempt to kill his wife. She somehow managed to grab the baby and get outside and screamed for help. Some neighbors grabbed the baby and around that time the police showed up. The guy is facing at least 27 years for what he did.

Oh, I'm sure he's getting his a$$ kicked on a daily basis in jail. Even though Vermont's prisons aren't as bad as most other places...being small means that EVERYONE knows what you did to end up doing time. The run of the mill violent offenders rip the living sh*t out of the pedophiles, rapists, child abusers and woman beaters quite regularly. That guy will suffer big time for what he did.

As a former seller of street pharmacuticals, I know plenty of guys from jail and i can vouch for Fire when she says that wife beaters pedophiles and the lot are reemed pretty badly in jail. They're not the only ones but guys like that are easy prey while on lock down, we're talking about a different society, different mentality, and nearly a different breed of people.
