I've been away from this forum for a few years, but I still see a lot of familiar names and much of the wisdom and experience that I came here for in the first place.

Politics, betas, etc, aside, the world has changed and we are changing with it. What's apparent to me is that many are awakening to bits of truth that are maybe not fully assimilated yet. The newer members here may be just waking up and realizing that women are very different from men. This doesn't make all women evil cunts, but something to understand in all interactions with them.

Look, we are all navigating a really fucked up world that doesn't at all match our evolutionary biology. Women are going through this as well as men. I expect all of us are wounded and scarred by the experience...

Speaking as another silvertip who s been around a fair while. Two major things went wrong in the West. The neo liberals who were fronting for the global corporations sold the world an extreme form of ree market ideology. The battle cry was TINA there is no alternative. In the real world efficient markets are actually very rare. And one of the big limits on Market efficiency is corruption which we can see increasing everywhere. New Zealand was chosen as a laboratory for this experiment. If you read the Financial section you could see the same group of people moving through the director ships in a variety of public organisations selling them off and collecting huge backhanders from their friends in investment banking who were brokering the sales. Classic was a guy named David Myers who use to hide behind his great love of New Zealand. Once he had raped the place he moved to Switzerland.

My point is there are some things the market works for and there are some things longer term planning and regulation aka the government work better for. Australia example of this is privatising utility companies. Since this happened in Australia the bills have gone up by a factor of 5. When I first arrived in Australia nobody talked about the utilities bills they were tiny why would anyone bother. Now it is a common topic.

The other disaster was feminism hijacking socialism. The Safety Net previously was about allowing people to get on their feet again in times of ill health and unemployment and it used to work. Once feminism said we had to look after all the solo mum's governments we're on the slide towards bankruptcy and just became another rapacious large corporate looking to Gouge cash.

These were the prime causes which cascaded secondary negative consequences such as importing the American Cult of the manager and hopelessly short-term thinking in business and government.

yaa no kidding Scara, I'm from a council estate in the north of England... my best mates when I was a kid on the estate, one raped a grandma and went to jail, my best mates crashed a car getting chased by the police and died and all my brothers died young from drink, crashes and suicide. And NOBODY on that estate went to college or university.

Funny, I used to think that the term "working class" referred to people who work for a living. Apparently, raping grandams, getting chased by the police and drinking yourself to death qualifies as "work" nowadays. You English are a funny lot. I have never seen so much degeneracy and social decay as I have witnessed in England. I mean, in what other country do you have "grooming gangs" that specialize in raping teenagers and the police won't do anything about it because they are afraid to look racist? Even in North America, we have not fallen quite that far...yet.

As for "unhappy peeps" on the forum, I think there is actually fewer of them compared to the old days. There is more focus on genuine self-improvement and less focus on PUA and other nonsense that was promoted in the past.
