Any time you hear, "I'm taking a break from dating," or, "I need some time to get my life together," when you ask a woman out, it usually means that she's just come out of a bad relationship and is not yet interested in jumping into a new one. (from #8, "She's been hurt")

I disagree. When she says that, it's usually a cheap excuse to get rid of you because she thinks you're a loser.

With this sort of damaged woman, it's best to aim for friendship or wait a while for her to straighten herself out before trying again.

Only if you really, sincerely do want a platonic friendship with her. Otherwise it's just best to move on to someone else, assume she's trying to brush you off.
