I've been talking to this girl who is interesting. But everytime I call I get her answering machine. Later she'll text me or something telling me she isn't ignoring me. Is there a funny not desperate sounding way to tell her to answer her phone or set up a time to call her?

I'm not sure what you said. But I think I may know what you mean. When she asks for advice on guys I respond, "I'm not a girl. I couldn't tell you." Or "I'm not most guys, I can't tell you what he is doing." Telling her what she wants to hear is a good way to get friend zoned.
