How do you balance the thrill of the chase with the comfort of just hanging out?

I’ve noticed that the best connections often start with something as simple as sharing a meal or a walk—no pressure, just good vibes. How do you make the shift from "potential date" to "just two people enjoying each other’s company" without overthinking it?

I’m not even sure what you’re asking here. I guess you establish a neutral distance and give them space so that neither person feels pressured to turn it into something more than it is?

Either way, I just wanted to post so I could ask what’s up with your creepy escort signature.

Just enjoying each other’s company is, by itself, friendship or friendzone.

You still need a potential romantic or underlying sexual connection, or it’s no longer a date. Yes, enjoy the company, but dates are not supposed to be 100% comfortable. Otherwise there is no tension/attraction.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
