he cross references neuro science research and fmri studies etc I believe, from memory. I don’t know how this can be that it crumbles. It’s been a while since I read it. He spends a few hundred pages celebrating the alleged virtues of mistaking our initial impressions for Gospel Truths, and not surprisingly, damned near all of his assertions crumble under even mild scrutiny
the Halo Effect is an acfual thing? via studies.

these are very old adages And truisms for a reason.
im wondering what is your mental block to this notion, and why.
For example. If you were to meet a guy that looks just like Robert Redford in his prime. You can’t help but assign him similar values . It’s just the way the mind works to stereotype and shortcut .afaik.
