If you are attractive enough to attract women, have you noticed how in these modern times women want to flirt, but at the same time aren't interested? At least, that's what happens to me, and see in other guys from my circle. We're all in our late 20's
Lots of women, beautiful women who flirt or drop the handkerchief , then retreat, or pretend nothing happened.

They just want the thrill, while keeping their boyfriend... ugly, short, bald, fat, it doesn't matter, it's her imprinting, her weak point.
But in the meantime they want to play with you, attractive boy, without taking risks.

Their natural urges to mate are conflicting with the messaging("Men are evil and oppressive!!!") they've received from advertising and the like over the past decade

Similar to the way simply imagining a world where 98% of the federal government has been abolished induces sheer terror in most folks... Decades of brainwashing which dictates all that sh-t is vital to our survival is clashing with our yearning for individual liberty

I don't know about the solution, I guess try to move things forward, and if it doesn't happen, no more attention.

This isn't a modern phenomenon, I noticed this in high school (which was many moons ago).

People are like this in general. Hell I flirt with a lot of women. Most of whom I have zero interest in sexually. It’s the best way to get women to respond positively to you. Women probably would say the same and it would be true.

For inexperienced men they will of course believe the flirting denotes interest. Maybe it does. Most of the time it doesn’t. There’s many women who have learned it’s a way to get what they want out of you.

One of the BEST hidden gems I've ever heard is that as a man you should NOT FLIRT!!

Why? Because 99,9% of the time it leads to not jist zero, it DIMINISHES your aura/ self-esteem, it's frustrating, as the op proofs it's confusing.

I don't flirt. I try to remain stoic when I deal with women. I can have conversations, laugh , think she's hot and all that. If they flirt with me, I make a risk/ reward analysis and only then I decide what action to take.

The irony is that eversince I stopped flirting ( aka chasing for validation !!) I got MORE successful

Please give it a try. Next time be more distant while you are still present. I mean, what difference does it make ? You flirt you get no punjabi, so let's see what happens when you stop doing it...

Yeah, but it seems like it's the younger ones. Except one recent encounter where a "MILF" walked right up to me and ran her fingers through my hair quite vigorously. The other women nearby stopped what they were doing and just stared with a "Oh god, you sl*t" look on their faces.

I was taken by surprise, but when I regained my composure, I tried to say something. She just walked off though.

I wouldn't necessarily call them prick teasers. It's just their wiring.

They are hard wired to attract attention from any "qualified" male they can.

It's an ancient survival strategy.

It's not conscious.

But on what kind of men is this flirting manipulation efficient?

For instance, I'd see it as an insult if a woman who is in a relationship or worse married, flirted with me. Might as well wear a big sign saying she's of poor character and probably a hoe too. I'd also be wary of women above certain age and having a certain reputation (serial dater for instance) flirting with me ... I wouldn't see it as a compliment but as a sign she wants something and what she has to offer isn't of enough value. Kind of like going into a showroom with 20k and attempting to flirt your way into getting a 50k car.

Why do men instantly get repulsed when noticing someone tries to manipulate them but we're supposed to be happy and feel like a service is being done to us when that manipulation (aka flirting) is done by a woman? I don't get this.

probably the majority of men you will find active on swipe apps , you can even see the naivety from some users that post online interactions on this forum

Also a lot of men don't really catch onto it until after the fact , they're just blinded by lust / infatuation

Married men flirt with women too, and it doesn't mean they want it to go anywhere.

I've had women in their 50s and 60s hit on me and I just find it amusing. People do it it's because of the simple fact that sometimes can't help ourselves when we're attracted to someone of the opposite sex. That's all it is. Flirting with the opposite sex is fun.

Yall pathologize and over analyze too much shvt. Not every interaction has to lead somewhere.
