It's not a crime to approach a girl directly in a grocery store, nor is it harassment. It can only be considered harassment if the girl says she's not interested or tells you to go away or leave her alone but you don't.

I've approached hundreds of women in supermarkets and not once had any problem like this. I even used to go to the same places multiple times a day, several times a week, on the way to work and again after work, to buy food and hit on girls. I've been pretty hardcore direct too...not once had any problems. So it's mostly in guys' heads really.

I share that perception.

Because of my "bank robbery" method (in & out in as less time as possible) with day game, the risk seems to outweigh the reward on a MOH approach.

If you could, as a secondary effort, you would want to see if you could get heterosexual women to rate your looks. Ideally, the typical man would want to get heterosexual women in his realistic dating pool to rate him. For you, the realistic dating pool would be ages 23-33 at its widest.

I don't have much experience getting gals around my age (or any age) to rate my looks.

A girl I went on 2 dates with in college rated me an 8 and a half.

When I posted my picture on a human (not AI) looks rating website, I remember a woman around my age rating me a 9. I don't remember what anyone else rated me (but I remember the rating was skewed by the fact men rated me too)

In high school, a female classmate rated me a 1 (but I guarantee she never even gave much thought to my looks; the 1 rating was more a rating of my social standing at school)

Various gals I've been involved with through the years have indicated they found me attractive...without mentioning a 1-10 score.

The article said harassment consists of unwanted physical contact and refusing to take no for an answer. Sounds like a reasonable definition of harassment.

Yet here's where the article lost me: The article's definition of harassment went on to say it's "harassment" to simply tell a woman she's attractive.

One guy approaching a girl in a supermarket is normal. A swarm of bros organizing a PUA event at a mall is cringe.

I wouldn't even frame this stuff as "approaches." People talk in every day life, it's totally normal. Young women are just boobed penisless men with nice hair. There is nothing special about them. If you become "friends" you might fukk. Cool. But first a guy's gotta talk about the weather or her shoes to establish that he's not a psycho or a part of a PUA swat team.

It's absurd that telling a woman she's attractive could even be viewed as an offense that could get a man thrown out of (or banned from) a venue.

Daygame is a tough path. There are upsides and downsides to it.

One downside of daygame is that the environment isn't targeted. Malls, grocery stores, gyms, and bookstores have females present who are in relationships. The probability of a given woman seeking new penis at the moment she's approached in a grocery store, gym, or any other standard daygame venue is lower than if she were approached at a bar/nightlife venue. This is even true when a man daygames venues in neighborhoods that contain mainly unmarried people.

Earbuds/headphones have had a destructive effect upon daygame. In the last 20 years, I've watched gyms be transformed. 20 years ago, very few women wore earbuds/headphones in the gym. Now, mostly every woman on the general gym floor uses earbuds. Earbuds/headphones have also negatively affected outdoor walking/hiking path approaching and park approaching. It's very difficult now to do outdoor approaches due to earbuds/headphones.

The upside of daygame is that women are usually isolated from their friends, which doesn't happen in nightlife venues. If a guy is doing solo approach sessions, daygame makes sense. Another upside is that it usually doesn't require late nights or alcohol. There's less competition in daygame too because it is a niche activity. Few men do daygame whereas so many men are doing swipe app game or nightlife venue game. Betas are flooding women's swipe queues and often overrun nightlife venues on Fri/Sat nights or on big time amateur hour nights (Halloween and New Year's Eve). Lots of nightlife venues have bad ratios.

There was an 18+ (as opposed to 21+) night club about a 30 minute drive from where I was raised. As a result of the 18 cutoff, I knew some dudes from my high school who went to that night club. They were all stereotypical alphas. That's probably how I first got the idea in my head that night clubs are for alphas.

Additionally, night clubs have all sorts of qualities that could potentially turn off beta males:

-Extremely loud music
-The style of music
-Excess alcohol consumption
-Dancing
-Late nights
-Decent chance of fistfights breaking out

Nightlife venues cover a variety of different types of venues.

In general, nightlife favors alpha males but not to the extent that swipe apps do.

Those things have the potential to turn off alphas, sigmas, betas, and omegas. It doesn't matter who you are as a male.

Betas are the majority of males and also the majority of nightlife venue attendees.

Quieter lounge type environments are better for conversation and better for pickup for a lot of men.

The loud music venues are going to favor alphas more because there's little verbal communication. Everything is based off of looks.

There are plenty of men who approach in nightlife venues and avoid the loud, nightclub type environments.

If we go back to the original topic, the general gym floor is going to be most like a loud, nightclub environment in terms of how it would favor alphas. Women wearing earbuds are going to get annoyed by most approaches but they would be more likely to accept an approach from a 6'0"+ man who is fit/muscular. Men other than those can approach, but it's a more difficult battle with earbud wearing women on the general gym floor. A cool, sigma male can do well here, but is going to have more of a difficult time if his physique isn't shredded.

The grocery store is less looks based. The alpha advantage is reduced here. This is a place where a lone wolf, sigma type guy can do very well and is likely why the grocery store has been my best venue for finding first dates of the traditional daygame venues.
