I learned that women aren't as receptive to the one directional hyper masculine male vs the pretty boy pretty early on. In addition, Chad is just a pretty boy with slight masculine features to make him appear more edgy. Some real-life examples, I think Travis Kelce & JJ Watt are the perfect example of Chads while Jalen Hurts & Joe Burrow will fall in the pretty boy category. The mistake I see most men making is that they neglect everything but muscles and end up looking like this guy: There's nothing wrong with him from a guy's point of view, but most women are going to find this guy either MID or unattractive compared to other men.

Take John Parker Wilson for example. He's totally a pretty boy. Yet at the same time, you have to be extremely manly to play college football/NFL.

The only opinion that matters in attraction/dating is the woman's opinion. I am sorry that the truth sounds closet gay to you. Nah, it's more like guys want to improve in a direction that has the best chance of paying off. As can be seen from this thread, there are a lot of different approaches that can be taken.

One thing the pretty boy thing shows though, is that men are not the only ones who are attracted by signs of youth. The pretty boy look is definitely a boyish/youthful look.
