my opinion: It would appear that at 25, she is fast approaching the Chubby-Wall, and we all know that she is at that point where she will be ballooning in size, and since she won't be circumlocuting on Chad's Carousel anymore, she thinks it's time to go take a ride on the neglected, boring amusement ride known as the Beta.

I think she has a certain level of African heritage, probably in an Afro-Latina way, but it's just that she can "pass".
