I can already hear the gnashing of woke teeth across the interwebs...this will be used to push for more “equality” - which means there will be some really weird changes suggested as “equality” is pushed which we know means inequality for men. Equalists are not interested in equality, they’re interested in winning for their side - the more the better.

This article presents a study investigating the association between gender inequality and structural differences in men's and women's brains. The study utilized a dataset of 7,876 MRI scans from healthy adults in 29 countries. It found that gender inequality is linked to differences in cortical thickness in certain brain regions of women compared to men. Specifically, the right hemisphere, particularly the right caudal anterior cingulate and right medial orbitofrontal and the left lateral occipital exhibited thinner cortices in women than men, but only in gender-unequal countries.

The study suggests that gender inequality might negatively impact women's brain development due to women's unequal exposure to harsh socio-environmental conditions. The observed differences in cortical thickness could be a neural mechanism explaining worse mental health and academic achievement outcomes for women in gender-unequal countries. The implicated brain regions are associated with emotional control, resilience to adversity, and responses to inequity; these regions' changes are often seen in stress-related conditions.

The researchers note that gender inequality indices encompass a variety of experiences that could influence the brain through different biological mechanisms. Future research should aim to understand these mechanisms, their moderating factors, and their timing. The findings emphasize the importance of the socio-environmental context in which sex differences in brain structure appear and highlight the potential role of neuroscience-informed policies in promoting gender equality.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Equality is unnatural and unattainable in the natural world. Nothing is equal. A sense of balance, perhaps, but equality is yet another social illusion.

What most people get wrong about gender inequality is what it actually means. They seek something they do not fully and genuinely understand.

Furthermore, the two (and only true) genders male and female benefit from each other's unique psychological, emotional, and physical attributes.

The issue I see with the study (all the other things notwithstanding) is this statement:

“The implicated brain regions are associated with emotional control, resilience to adversity, and responses to inequity; these regions' changes are often seen in stress-related conditions.”

The presumption is that the brain changes due to the stressors mentioned, but anyone with even the lightest medical education knows that the human brain stops developing in the early 20’s. So I’m doubting the science and measures in place. Once that’s the case it throws the whole study into question - whether or not the study’s premise makes sense or not.

And yet, when given the choice, girls would rather play with dolls, and women would rather stay at home and be house wives, or gravitate towards traditionally female roles.

The first sentence in that article states a supposition that they're trying to confirm.

I once read a book that was a collection of scholarly articles written in late 1930s nazi germany about race, biometrics, etc. This is right in line with that crap.

Uhm.. even if the brain became completely static (which it of course doesnt), why couldnt those effects take place earlier than when it stops developing?

If you stop and think about it - most of lives traumatic and formative events occur later in life than 25. At least for the majority of the population of the planet. Given your average human probably lives close to 80 years 25 years is 1/3rd of thier life.

Most 30 year olds think that they have the whole thing figured out at 30 - imagine how much more you will have figured out at 60!

Embrace the differences rather than try to skew data to push some agenda or narrative. Men like women because they are different and opposite in many ways. Give them opportunity to do whatever they want in life but we are not equals in many ways and that is alright. This is like comparing a dog to a cat and claiming that environmental stressors have made them what they are.
