I got one one knee, I took her somewhere really isolated for the proposal so there was
nobody there but us. It wasn't a public proposal at all. My mother in law coughed up the
money for the ring in the short term, A large ruby (wife's favourite stone) flanked by a pair
of diamonds. I fully renovated her kitchen to repay the debt, a complete bare walls, rewire,
replumb and start from scratch job. It took me about 3 weeks.
