Influencers get 'raging' response from restaurant after asking for free food: 'See if you can amass enough followers ... to actually be of benefit'

In a #couscousforcomment moment, two Australian influencers have unexpectedly found themselves in the middle of some backlash after a restaurant owner's response to their request went viral.

According to a screenshot uploaded by The Australian food writer John Lethlean, Groves reached out to a restaurant’s Instagram account and asked if the eatery would be willing to let the girls dine there “in exchange for some stories on [their] personal accounts, and a post and stories on [their] food page account.”

“Would you guys be interested in doing this collab?” Groves asked. “If not, we completely understand.”

To which the Turkish owner replied:

“Apologies for the delay,” the restaurant account wrote back. “I’ve been grappling with how much rage to demonstrate/throw in your direction.”

my opinion: The owner is an EthnicCel that had wasted far too much money trying to woo white women that he saw this BS for what it is.

Plenty of women go on dates for free meals. That's why the Manosphere has instructed no dinner dates in restaurants prior to sex.

A phenomenon that's less talked about is women who don't for free drinks. Even if you don't do dinner dates, you as a man are often on the hook for paying for an alcoholic drinks date at a bar. Either way, women get freebies but a drinks date with no food is stronger positioning for the same night lay. Still, many men go on drinks dates and they turn out to be "one date, no sex, no second date" and money is wasted. So is time.

I only take out to dinner women with whom I have had some type of rapport before (e.g., meeting and having a very good, long conversation, etc.). I don't mind taking an OLD (not "old" ) chick for a drink or coffee.
