I agree. She complained about him a lot. When women complain about ex husbands, etc. it's a big alarm bell. More like she was high maintenance and the hotness of her couldn't override her terrible, nagging personality and he kicked her to the curb.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Of course - look pretty and not be too insufferable personality wise. That’s basically all we care about it at the end of the day. If you’re expecting more than that you’ll end up disappointed.
I used to work with one of these. Super cute and highly attractive and constantly had men approach her. It didn’t take long for me to know the reason why she was single.

I’ve never had to go to a different continent just to pick up women - so I wouldn’t know. But he’s hopeless enough here that may be what he has to resort to. Hopefully the language barrier works it’s magic.
