"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

How much of "Class" comes from an upbringing from a place of privilege? There is a saying "Poor people have poor ways" Do you find that to be true?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

It really does depend on the upbringing, you don't have to be wealthy or privileged to be classy. If by classy you mean the opposite of trashy. Most of my female friends fall into this category.

I know one particular woman who comes from very low income and doesn't make a lot of money even to this day, however she doesn't behave like trash because her family doesn't behave like trash. I suppose you could say that they have dignity in spite of their situation, and I greatly respect the family for it.

You can't take the trashiness out of trash though. This is why nouveau rich people are so derided by those who come from priviledge. They might be rolling in money, but they still act like dogs

It depends on what level of “classy” we are talking about.

Just being respectful/“clean cut” classy could still come from a non-wealthy family. Plenty of working and middle class people can pull this off.

But in order to be an advanced “socialite” of sorts and be able to work a room of high status people, you would probably need to come from such a family to begin with.

In general, yes. More wealth will equal more civility and more sophistication.

But more importantly the percentage that come from a traditional family unit, will be the ones who are more stable. The weaker the father, the more 'princessy' the girl will be.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

It depends on what you consider classy or trashy.

Washing your clothes in the bath tub might be considered trashy but if someone can't afford a washing machine or don't have space in their small apartment what can they do about that?

Whereas if a girl eats with her hands at a fancy restaurant then obviously nobody who grew up in America was too poor to afford a knife and fork, she's just trashy.

Other things like how revealing or stylish she dresses are also not correlated with wealth. (You can look good in an outfit made of $20 clothes, you can look slvtty while wearing $500 designer fashion)

But some things like how ghetto she is are definitely more of a poor thing than a rich thing. Unless she's a rich girl who is obsessed with rap music or something lol.

The thing is, women don't have to be classy except for when the cameras are on and that's exactly the situation we find ourselves in today, most women are carrying heaps of resentment because they give it all away and didn't even get a kiss goodbye, then try to hit the following guys up with all these rules and nonsense because she is extremely bitter.

Lets make 1 thing clear, all women possesses bitterness towards men and this bitterness, the presence of it, to me, shows a complete lack of class.

So no, I don't even think the modern wealthy woman is in possession of class because we're just gonna excuse her bad behavior anyways.

Not entirely.

Although I do think that there's usually a distinction between women raised by a family of 'old money' VS 'new money' ... I can also verify that there's some bad seeds in any bunch (no matter the financial environment).

Funny thing - Have you ever noticed that on-line women that describe themselves as "classy" usually appear to be anything but?

I suppose that the term is subjective, but if a woman has poise and good manners (which isn't forced) this works for me (no matter her background).
