Currently it’s absolutely relentless drivel on social media and in the workplace. Every post on LinkedIn is “women at work - how businesses should help part time mums get paid tons of money for a few hours a week where you can’t make any serious impact on a company” “spend more time with your family” “Im an employer but I am so nice that if you have a hard time and are stressed, don’t come in to work, we can cope”
it’s all gone so feminist and woke and just so sickly. Have we all forgotten we are running businesses?
work is a job you go to, you generate things of value for others and you get paid for it. Why are we overthinking it?
I work with some extremely competent women, to my knowledge they haven’t been deliberately held back in my lifetime. If career breaks for mums are holding them back, fine, if they want help, then give with the other hand and let dads take 15 months off to assist raising their kids on full pay and hold their position. We still need to help develop our children and look after mum.
I am sure I am not alone, who I dislike more are the men supporting this and using it to look good. Most of which have made their money and no longer need to work their way up the ladder. They are quite happy throwing all the younger guys under the bus for 5 mins acclaim on social media.
I just want this nonsense to end, it’sdraining and it’s like Maos bloody social revolution, constant political and social whining, constant grievance, constant initiatives.
really winds me up.
