Help me figure out where to go for my birthday during COVID

So, single guy, 26 turning 27, living in Delaware.

Originally the plan was to go up to Atlantic City, NJ and stay at Harrah's or something. I'm friends with the manager so sometimes he hooks me up, I have a couple friends who can make the drive, and I have a Tinder girl lined up to see me there (but I never count those things until they're actually happening). The cost of all this is about a 2 hour drive and around $400, which is much more expensive than usual due to COVID reducing occupancy and them needing to make up the loss.

Now I didn't really consider anything else until I told my boss about my birthday plans at work. One of his employees used to work security in Atlantic City and says it's been kinda quiet, and lately the clientele has been a little "rough". He was suggesting something like Fort Lauderdale, FL because of the lack of any real COVID restrictions down there, at least that's what I'm told. Difference for something like that would be the fact that most of my friends probably couldn't make that, I don't know anybody down there and have zero connections for nightlife stuff, and have no idea how much it would cost between the flights, hotel, transportation, etc.

I feel like this is kind of an odd question for this forum, but I'm just trying to think of where I should go and what I should do in this current pandemic. Last year I spent my birthday at my family's house on a couch with some drinks and a cake...so I'd like to actually have fun this year.

Please advise. Would simply like to do something where I can get drunk, and get laid.

I’m 3,000 miles away. But... if I were single looking to score. I’d go to Vegas. Short flight for me. If I were you, I’d consider Miami Beach. Pretty much open, great nightlife. Beautiful people. Just loads of fun.

I guess I should've specified that I have a few weeks to plan this. I'm looking at doing this at the beginning of May.

Honestly no idea but I got friends in Florida and I've been told everything is practically open as heck. Just look up the hottest bars/clubs and go for a spin. Maybe hit up a cigar shop or two, a nice restaurant before hand, Keep it simple.

TBH. I don’t celebrate my birthday. But, if I did & wanted to really make it special, I’d go. As for you. Have you had any luck going out solo locally? If yes, you’ll do fine in MB. If no...stick with tentative girl & friends.

In your opinion then, what would make Atlantic City more worthwhile with the things I already described versus Miami? Like at what point would you think "ok that's probably the better option"? Also you're in Cali and you said you'd go to Vegas normally? Isn't Cali loaded with even more hotties?

NV is way more open than Cali right now. So, If I wanted to party hard, that’s where I’d go.
I thought Tinder was giving upgrades free during the pandemic. But I’ve been off for a year so...
If money is a big issue, MB might not be that good an idea. It is a place that can be $$$.

It's a town with 9 casinos next to the Gulf. It's pretty nice down there.

I like the 3 Deleware casinos. Of course I'm sure you've been to those many times. Nightlife there is lackluster. MGM National Harbor gets pretty pumped up on the weekends near DC

Been wanting to go to Atlantic City, NJ, but they have a travel advisory against Virginia right now.

Las Vegas is actually a pretty fun experience even with Covid. Went in October.

I'm a casino advantage player, so I often get reports through sources of how active things are in Vegas. I also tend to travel around on time off checking out spots with lots of casinos.

It's mine in a couple of weeks. Bought myself a PS5.
I don't really have anyone who gives a crap about me so if I didn't treat myself to a gift the
occasion will go by totally un-noticed. Needless to say, there's no party or night out planned.
I'd need to have some friends first, I can't face going out alone on my birthday, I don't need

I have some experience with Atlantic City. Right now the only nice casino is Ocean Resort. It’s on par with 4/5 star joints. Every room has an Ocean view. Since it’s off season still until Memorial Day, try to book a Thursday night. Otherwise you’re looking at $400 / night minimum.

Ehh I splurged and got a Saturday. One of my work friends is buddies with a promoter who comped me the room through Sunday, so technically Sunday's free. Not that it matters too much...but yeah, around $400 for that whole weekend thing. Hoping the friends I bring will be taking care of my drinks lol.

Just to put this in perspective... hotel rooms in Midtown Manhattan are going for $100 a night right now. You could easily get 30 tinder matches in a night. Only problem is New York has this dumb rule right now where a bar has to bill you at least one food item on a drinks tab due to covid.

Oh I know, I'm not particularly happy about the cost...but I kinda know the area, have a tinder thing lined up, and it's not so too far and easy enough for my friends to get to.

I don't know enough about New York to have a good time there. My brother lives up in Manhattan with his girlfriend and the few times I've been there I just find the crammed city kind of disgusting. Just tons of people everywhere and I never see the attractive ones, I just hate the city.

Last year I spent my birthday at home due to the virus so I just kinda wanna enjoy myself this year. I know I'm spending a lot of money compared to what this kind of trip usually costs, but I don't know how much more I can nickel and dime this trip before I start having a ****ty time because I tried to save a couple bucks. I don't know...
