I'm sitting here downing beers and chilling to some music, cruising the forums, content with my life. I have a great woman and I know how to handle anything that may happen. I work on myself almost every day. I just realized how much this place really improved my life. Drastically, radically improved it. So to all of you out there, thanks. Y'all are some inspiring mother ****ers. The newbies starting out, the regulars still struggling but trying your best and the masters dropping mad knowledge bombs every thread. It feels very strange, but I owe a lot to this place. A refuge for men who in this current climate aren't taught how to be men or even worse ignored. I wish more men would find it!!! This world is filled with landmines strategically placed to supress manhood!!! Starting with children.. I was in trouble in school for always speaking my mind, disagreeing with teachers, getting in fights... I was taken to doctors and therapists. I continued on because I felt good saying my piece. In highschool I met a girl... I fell into the trap...she was the one!!! We dated into
College and one day she came to me and said I was a horrible person, too abrasive, too much trouble, I never bought her flowers, surprised her, blah blah.... I bought into it... I changed... started dressing the way she wanted, stopped working out as much because she needed more attention, started acting like Ross from friends... I think I even fake cried in front of her... she still made sure I ended up catching her cheating with two other dudes... I found this site and went back to the way I was.. I would rather be hated for who I am than hate myself.

This is exactly what SS is about. Use the community to improve your life and then turn around and give back to it. You mentioned "the climate" and it sure is a he|| of a nasty climate out there for man if he doesn't know how to navigate it. That's true with women of course but also with work, friends, family, etc. Great post.
A natural alpha. No, not the fighting and getting in trouble, but saying exactly what you think, speaking your mind and having conviction in your stance and not backing down. I might disagree with an opinion but I respect those who stick by their beliefs regardless. People who are not changed by societies supposed correct world view.
This forum has definitely helped me in the short time I've been here. Leaving stubbornness and egos at the door, admitting you may not have all the answers and always have room to improve/learn is the best way to approach it.
