Based on those that study these things, we're looking at a major upheaval in the next 7-8 years, after which the "rebirth" could take another twenty years or so.
That's based on this theory, (which also seems to match up with this one, time wise) which has been around for a while. And when you look at this chart, they all seem to point to something big happening in the next 10-20 years.
So yea, one could wait, for 20 years and hope you don't end up dead on the other side. But as you mentioned, it's much easier just to game the system and the individuals in it, and enjoy the ride. Just be careful of any commitments or anything that could be construed as a financial obligation.
Women are just doing exactly what you'd be doing (more or less--your mating strategy would be a little different) if you had the same level of options & incentives that they do. You can't claim the moral highroad when you're mostly on that highroad due to necessity lol. Getting all moralistic about it is pointless & a waste of energy.

Pretty much, it seems more plausible than anything else. I mean I'm not a nimrod either, I'm open to things, but evolution is shaky at best to me. So many assumptions. When in doubt, say billions and gagillions of years, type of stuff.
